So Phase Two of my plan is complete. All of the anthologies have been deactivated. This includes bardic Tales and Sage Advice (vol 1-10), The Great Tomes Series, Dead Men (and Women) Walking, Return of the Dead Men (and Women) Walking, America the Horrific, and Legendary Horrors. Vendors that have physical inventory of print titles will continue to sell those, but we are no longer printing new copies and all digital distribution has been canceled. Phase Three is the magazines, Bards and Sages Quarterly and The Society of Misfit Stories Presents. We will remove all back issues from circulation in October. You can still get digital and print copies of back issues until then. So if there is an issue you missed now may be your last chance to get them. As with the anthologies, once the back issues are removed from circulation, all rights will revert to their respective authors.

Hey all. Know I have not posted in a while. I am doing much better than I was, and it looks like I am able to "dodge" the second surgery I was worried about. Plans are still to deactivate the anthologies on August 1st and return all rights to the authors. If you haven't had a chance yet, I've placed everything on deep sale at Drivethrufiction. So if there is a title you always wanted and never got around to getting...well...you got two more weeks or so to do it!

Phase 2 is to delist our anthologies. We will delist all anthologies on August 1st. Once they have been delisted, all rights we held to stories will revert to their respective authors. If you are an author who has a story published in one of our anthologies and you want to get wholesale print copies before they are no longer available, email me directly at [email protected]. In the meantime all the anthologies and magazine issues are available digitally for 99 cents each at DriveThruFiction

Wanted to share a little update. My surgery last Friday went well. At this point I'm mostly just annoyed because I can't lift anything over 5 lbs until my doctor gives me the okay.

I've discounted a bunch of titles at Google Play for those of you that prefer to shop there. Titles will remain on sale until May 1st, then will be unpublished so rights can revert to authors.

I want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts, both your public posts and private messages. Wanted to give everyone an update on where I am at. I've been in communication with the authors who have published full length works with me.

The current plan is that their works will be removed from circulation on May 1, 2024 so that I can get a final reconciliation of any royalties owed to them and paid out by July 1st. Once we remove the titles from circulation, all of their rights will revert back to them.

Of course, this also means the titles will no longer be available for sale. To that end, I will be reducing the cost through Amazon for readers that want to get copies before they are no longer available. Due to how long it takes to update prices and remove listings from retailers through Ingram, I can't really play much with prices elsewhere. But all the print books on Amazon are printed by Amazon, so it is easier to lower prices there and have them reflect quickly.

Once I have taken care of these authors, then I will work on dealing with the anthologies next. Then the magazine issues will be last on the plate.

This is something that has been a long time coming. Bards and Sages won't vanish overnight, but I have started the process of closing.

Effective March 6, 2024, I will begin the process of winding down Bards and Sages Publishing. There is a lot that needs to be unraveled and sorted out before I can formally close everything down.
