Words have tremendous power. They have the capacity to create or to destroy. God’s Word is a vehicle of peace in all situations, especially in times of trouble.
The word of God occupies a central position in all affairs of a believer. Psalm 119 which is the longest psalm and chapter in the Bible is devoted to describing several things about what the word of God is. Today’s passage specifically focuses on one of the benefits that come the way of those commit themselves to study and live by the principles of the Word of God. The presence of the Word of God in their lives will grow hatred in their heart for all evils. They will therefore experience God’s grace and peace.
One of the truths in life is that peace is not the absence of challenges and struggles. Real peace is a gift from God that grows and becomes one’s experience as one relates with Him. One secret is that such relationship comes from devotion to God’s Word. Will you treasure God’s Word in your heart in all situations? Will you treat God’s command as your love letter and worship Him exceedingly throughout your stay on earth? If you do, great peace is your heritage.
