TEAM STAIRS - your assistance is needed!
There was a typo in the Chris Finn School Culture video. We wanted it to be perfect, so we corrected it and are going to relaunch it and premiere it TOMORROW at 11:30AM (Wednesday, Jan 30th).
Unfortunately, when we take down the old version, we will lose all the Likes and wonderful comments left by several of you (there were 22 comments).
WHAT WE NEED: First, click this link to the premiere of the video.
https://youtu.be/K6XDSffPGMY
You can set a reminder and even enter a chat with us, before and during the video launch. Whatever you say will become a part of the video once it airs. About 30 minutes before the video premieres, you will get a notification reminder that it is about to drop. Anything you add to the chat while it is playing for the first time will become a part of the video, viewable when people watch the video.
THEN: Everyone please Like and Comment on the video as soon as it drops. The more people that do in the first hour, the higher it ranks on youtube/google's analytics, so they will put the video in front of more people.
Those of you who COMMENTED before, please copy what you wrote and leave that COMMENT AGAIN. We are so thankful for your engagement the first time! We don't want to lose all the love that was generated.
Here are all the comments that were left the first time. If one of these is yours, please copy and paste it under the new video. Hopefully, we can duplicate them all and then add more from people who did not comment on it the first time.

Students have the potential of going beyond their ability to achieve that goal.

Glad to hear they are instilling the importance of work ethic in the students.

love the name and what it stand for, it is really creative and smart. The common concerns/issues I heard about schools in my neighborhood is that classrooms are always crowded and families and students aren't getting enough support from schools. I really appreciate how Stairs academy are aware of these issues and try to address these issues through their new proposed school. love the GROWTH MINDSET concept and help create the mindset with in students that effort and hard work is the key to success.

It's great that you guys will teach the kids that failure is apart of growth. So that they don't feel entitled when they hear everything they do is always perfect.

Responsive classroom & individualized learning are great new techniques to help enhance childrens learning. I think all schools should implement this
Olga Pocrop
Responsive classroom is a great idea. It is easier for children to learn. Also teachers are able to spend more time with each student and help those who may have some problems with learning the new material. Growth mindset is very important for children, you teach the children how to reach their goals.

I did not know "STAIRS" in "STAIRS ACADEMY" was an acronym.

15 students in a classroom is a big improvement from the usual 25-35 students you usually have in public schools. The growth mindset makes a lot of sense. Very simple and very logical way of raising children.
Alex Jones
I wish more schools could approach classroom sizes like this. It would definitely allow for a greater learning experience by being able to provide the students with all the support and help they need.

Thank you Chris Finn for your clarity and leadership in helping develop this plan!

Good Job. What I hear repeatedly to small children till I want to throw up. I am the kind of teacher that when kids got C's they were excited because they knew they had earned itl. Good Luck.

The attitudes presented as a parent or teacher have an intended or unintended affects on the children, whether we realize it or not. They figure out and internalize the learning culture around them. Words matter. Thank you for your comment.

STAIRS ACADEMY
Thank you for your comment, Hakim.

Very powerful Chris. I'm so proud of the effort everyone has put forth. I've heard that funding will be cut back for Charter Schools in NY State- I hope everyone is in under the wire.
STAIRS ACADEMY
Thank you for your comment, Michael. You clearly have a growth mindset! There will be changes at the state and federal level, but we are confident that the authorizers will recognize that the ideas we are presenting are what the community needs. If funding is cut, we will think outside the box, relying on creative partnerships, grants and the generosity of those who visit our GoFundMe campaign. GoFundMe.com/StairsAcademy

Responsive classroom really is key. Small classroom size is directly related to increased learning. Enables educators to give more attention to students in the classroom. I also agree with Carol Dweck's method of allowing students to feel that if they work hard enough towards their goals, they will be rewarded with a successful outcome. Students will also have pride in their accomplishments that they've worked so hard to achieve.
STAIRS ACADEMY
Yes, you are so right! Small class size, Responsive Classroom and Growth Mindset are not new. These methods are proven and supported by data from independent studies. Thank you for your well thought out comment. You worked hard on it! (See what we did there?)
If you haven't already SUBSCRIBED to our Channel and rung the bell, please do! I will send out a reminder blast tomorrow, right before the video drops at 12pm.
THANK YOU!!
