Happy CNY 🧧 Year of the Fire Horse 🔥🐎

This year felt different. Celebrating with a new baby and my parents under the same roof — something we haven’t had in so many years. The days were a blur of nonstop cooking, a table that was never empty, and the kind of laughter that only happens when everyone is finally back together.

And of course, bottles worthy of the occasion: Emmanuel Brochet, Bizot, Lafite, and a 30-year Mao Tai — each one opened slowly and remembered long after the last glass. 🍷

These are the moments that matter most. ❤️

Still freezing in NYC, but the Chinese calendar says it’s Li Chun - the start of spring 🌱 So I’m in the mood for something springy.

Emidio Pepe Pecorino - lemony, creamy, beautifully balanced, layered with apple, pear, and dried florals. Always a favorite.

A small taste of Italy, and hoping to be back again this year 🇮🇹✨

So much snow in New York lately — beautiful to look at, but the cleanup… not so much. Definitely needed a bottle to warm up. 😝

Domaine Robert Arnoux, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots 1995. Fabulously aromatic nose of black raspberry, smoke, espresso, and warm spice. Lush, silky, and layered — that kind of texture you keep thinking about after the glass is empty.

Honestly? Wish I had another bottle. ❄️🍷

From my very first square post in 2016 to today, WineMemoir has always been about more than just a bottle.

Sharing stories, experiences, and what I learn from tastings and producer visits has been my way of bridging the gap between wines and people. Fast forward to 2026, the mission is the same: making wine approachable, celebrating culture, history, and the philosophy behind it. Thanks for following my journey—here’s to more stories and discoveries ahead! ✨

❄️ Snow day vibes: staying in, indulging a cozy charcuterie board, and savoring two stunning wines.

🍷 Domaine Bruno Clavelier Le Rognet Corton Grand Cru – rich, layered, with silky tannins and a lingering mineral finish.
🍷 Pierre Girardin Pommard ‘Les Vignots’ – elegant yet powerful, classic red Burgundy with red fruit and earthy depth.

Sometimes the perfect day is just snow, snacks, and extraordinary wine. How’s the snow where you are, getting warmer yet?

2025 didn’t go according to plan — an unexpected pregnancy changed everything. I was incredibly lucky to have a healthy, safe, comfortable pregnancy and delivery, and somehow still traveled to 7 countries along the way.

I’m so grateful for this life-changing year, but it wasn’t only the highlight reel. I struggled. I cried. I worried constantly. People often share the good — I wanted to share that both can exist at once.

So many chapters still unwritten, and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead 🤍

First omakase post-baby, and let me tell you — it hits different. This tastes like survival, patience, and victory…! 😂

Egly-Ouriet Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru, because nothing less would do — absolute perfection in a glass.

Oh how I missed sushi… and nights like this 🥂✨

Entering the new year with openness, curiosity, and a bottle that reminds me why I love Rhône whites — Domaine des Amphores Condrieu La Côte.

2026 wine resolutions:

👉 More under-the-radar regions
👉 Fewer safe choices, more surprises
👉 More whites with texture
👉 Drink what excites me, not what’s trending

It’s a Chambolle-Musigny kinda night — who doesn’t love a good themed side-by-side tasting? 🍷😍

Roumier 2012 – Pure class: silky red fruit, lifted florals, and that unmistakable Chambolle finesse.
Alain Burguet 2005 – Mature, savory, and deeply expressive with sous-bois, spice, and lingering elegance.
Gilbert & Christine Felettig 2011 – Delicate yet persistent, showing pretty red berries, spice, and graceful evolution.
Gilbert & Christine Felettig 2017 – Brighter, more vibrant, and irresistibly juicy—youthful Chambolle energy at its best. Digioia-Royer – Fragrant, polished, and precise with beautiful purity and quiet power beneath the florals.

Same village, five expressions—proof that Chambolle never speaks in just one voice. ❤️
