There’s something about Côte-Rôtie that feels just right for fall 🍂—a northern Rhône gem that still flies a little under the radar (and doesn’t always break the bank). Mostly Syrah (with a touch of Viognier), it’s peppery, floral, and silky—like the season itself. Think blackberries, violets, smoke, and spice in perfect balance.

A favorite pick: Parpette “Le Plomb”—elegant and earthy with notes of dark cherry, olive, and cracked pepper. Perfect with roasted duck, lamb, or a cozy mushroom risotto.

2 under $100 Burgundy recs, save this for your next wine shop trip!🍷 Both are perfect for the season - cozy, soulful, and made for fall dishes!

1️⃣ Jean-Claude Rateau Beaune 1er Cru — biodynamic pioneer with earthy red fruit and silky texture. Around $60–70, and one of the most charming “affordable” 1er Crus out there. Pairs beautifully with roast chicken or mushroom risotto.

2️⃣ Jérôme Galeyrand Gevrey-Chambertin “Les Croisettes” — pure Gevrey spice and depth without the usual price tag. Try it with duck, truffle pasta, or just a good cheese board.

Proof that Burgundy can still feel special without breaking the bank. 😉
