This is me and my husband Nathan. I love sharing little bits of our life here and there because so much of my inspiration as a wedding professional comes from our own story and journey as a couple.

We love each other a whole lot and our relationship is adventurous and silly and fulfilling and of course at times confusing and messy — everything that makes life so good. In part, our relationship is why I feel passionately about capturing pivotal season’s of life for couples. It is by looking through my own photos and videos of us that I am often reminded how good life is with him, even when it gets hard. These photos and videos have a way of centering me on gratitude which I believe can be life altering.

I hope to play a small part in creating these same sort of heirlooms with my couples.

This has been a hard secret to keep! But I am so excited to finally share with you —

My husband Nathan and I are incredibly excited to be welcoming a little baby boy into our family this spring! We can hardly wait to share our little world with him. 🤍 Although he already has quite a few national parks marked off his list!

Today also marks 5 years of being married to my favorite guy. Reflecting on these past 5 years, I can hardly contain my gratitude for his steadfastness, curious mind, and adventurous spirit. I love you I love you I love you

Since baby boy is joining us this Spring, this means I’m still taking on a couple more summer & fall 2024 weddings & elopements! But reach out soon because they are already going quick!

Thanks for following along on all our van adventures & my elopements for all these years — we really can’t wait for what this next season brings as a family of three.

Life update — We moved!! And we did more than just switch up van camping spots, we have a real home (without wheels) this time!

Two weeks ago we moved out of our full-time van living and into our new home in North Bend, WA. This month also marked one whole year of travel for Nathan and I. Exactly a year ago we sold most of our belongings, ended our lease in Seattle, and headed to Italy for a few weeks. We then spent the whole winter in Southern California until we moved into our van full time in May.

I don't think there is anything that compares to living nomadically or in a van, and its an adventure I will look back on fondly for the rest of my life. I got to live in each unique mountain location that I was shooting or filming in, and play and appreciate every little bit of each landscape for 6 full months. The rivers + forests + mountain roads of this state truly became my home.

I think there is a part of me that will always crave the spontaneity, adventure and challenge that comes with living on the road, but we are beyond stoked to finally have a more permanent home base in North Bend with routines, community, and views of these mountains everyday.

This little town, nestled in the Snoqualmie Valley of the Central Cascades, has its own long list of outdoor opportunities, but is also perfectly positioned to reach all the incredible elopement locations around WA state. And I can hardly wait for all the continued adventures with couples to come!

P.s. we love you Shiela 🚐 thank you for not breaking down this summer. We also wish you kept us warmer this Fall.

📷 thank you for documenting so many milestones for us over the years and helping us celebrate the end of this really sweet season 💛

In celebration of the purchase of their new home 🏠✨

Hannah & Will invited my husband and I over for dinner before their in-home session this July — we were complete strangers to them and they welcomed us into their cozy home and cooked us dinner. This was such a fun evening getting to know these two, kind souls and celebrating a huge milestone for them.

These two reached out to do a casual in-home session with me earlier this summer which I of course said yes to, thinking they just wanted photos in their first home. In the middle of the session they asked if they could include a prop they had in mind and pulled out their first ultrasound photos 🥹 (see last photo). I'm honestly not sure how I even got that photo in focus for how much i was jumping up and down with excitement.

Needless to say, these two are going to be the best parents, and we can't wait to meet little baby Peacock 💛

This past week I made a spontaneous trip back to my home town which led to a spontaneous 15 mile day hike with my dad, brother and husband to the Eagle Cap Wilderness.

I first fell in love with the outdoors in these mountains. 15-year-old me, setting out on my first backpacking trip. I car camped a bunch as a kid but never anything too remote. There was always the security of our tent trailer when the nights got dark and my bicycle or skateboard nearby for when I got bored.

I hardly remember that first trek up into the Eagle Cap Wilderness, most likely blocking out the pain my back and shoulders were feeling while having no idea where I’d end up. But when I got up to our lakeside destination that we would call home for the next 4 days, truthfully, all I recall feeling those 4 days was fear. Fear of the wild animals, fear of the darkness, fear of the rock scrambling and cliffs and unknowns.

But that wasn’t the last time I made that trip up to that lake basin - it actually was just the first of 5 more trips I trekked up to the same place throughout my high school years.

That place where all those fears first bubbled to the surface was the same place that on year two I sat in a hammock acknowledging the morning song birds for the first time. The same place that I learned to make a fire, filter water, set up a tent, and cook with wild onions. The same place I learned that I was strong and capable of doing hard things - and I even enjoyed them at the same time. Where I learned that fear and beauty can, and often do, coincide.

I spend a lot of time in the outdoors for my job these days, and I’m so grateful for that. But if I’m being honest it can be hard to find time to hold your own adventures and revisit your personal favorite landscapes among all the planned destinations. But when I revisited this place this past week - now aver 10 years later and more backpacking & hiking trips than I can count - I feel really proud of 15 year old Kassidy for not giving up on something that at first felt scary or hard. And now, able to see a whole lot more beauty than fear and embrace the playfulness that comes with being a tiny little human in a really vast landscape.

Allison & Will reached out this winter with plans to elope at Mount Rainier with their families by their side. From our very first call we began planning their dream wedding day — we talked vendors, cabins, ceremony locations, ways to incorporate family, and of course, how they hope to feel on their actual elopement day.

We started the day at their cabin where designed a space for their families to mingle, toast and share a meal together. After cake cutting and some speeches that had us all in tears we headed up the mountain for their ceremony with their parents, siblings, grandma, and aunts & uncles cheering them on. We ended the night on a trail among the budding wildflowers and a moody mountain scape.

After over 11 years together, and much of that doing long distance, the joy on these two's faces to finally be married was contagious throughout the whole day. And the intentionality and thought that they put into their elopement will be one that sticks with me for a while 💛

Mountain season is upon us! It always feels like summer gets here in late May, but then summer *reallyyyy* gets here a few months later when the mountains begin to melt and the flowers begin to bloom in the high alpine terrain.

I'll be heading back up to Mount Rainier at the end of the month for a handful of elopement celebrations and can hardly wait.

If your looking for the perfect mountain elopement spot for this time next year, Mount Rainier should be at the top of your list!

If your looking for an elopement videographer that is familiar with these landscapes and can help you dream up an adventure tailored to you, I'd love to hear from you! My 2024 books are currently open — head to my website for more info 🏔️

A few months before their wedding I asked Morgan & Andrew how they want to feel on their wedding day. They responded with the words "present, giddy, joyful, & loved."

I ask all my couples this in order to help me prep for how to best serve them through my communication the day-of, and give me more direction on how I will photograph their wedding day. It's always fun when I revisit these words after the wedding and they end up perfectly describing what the day entailed.

M + A spent as much time as possible with their people on their wedding day - we didn't run off multiple times to take wedding portraits, we grabbed photos when it made sense (like the first photo, a quick moment on her way to her first look). You could tell they were visibly present & giddy to be together, because we prioritized that from the start.

This also meant I got to focus on taking photos of the people that matter most to them - hugging, laughing, & reuniting. I love getting to take a true documentary approach to weddings like this; capturing the full picture and paying special attention to capture all the wonderful humans that made each person who they are today.

Here are a few previews of their timeless, coastal wedding last weekend ✨

Such an incredibly fun day with Melissa & Paul ⛷️

Up before sunrise, I met them and their friends at their A-frame cabin and soon after headed up towards Baker. As the sun was just beginning to rise over Shuksan the whole sky turned pink and the two shared their first look before our ascent up.

This day was filled with lots of laughter, happy tears, a ski piled high with charcuterie, and some fun skiing + glissading down - honestly what more could you want for a wedding day!?

I'll be sharing a little preview of their elopement film soon, but just couldn't wait to share a few photos first!

Today marks 4 years of officially being in business.

When I first set out to start my photo + video business, I honestly didn't know what to expect. After leaving my graphic design job I remember telling Nathan, "if I start this now, maybe in a few years we can live in a van and work on the road!?" Besides that, i had a desire to use my creativity for other people & help them admire the outdoors — this was all I had really dreamed up.

Fast forward 4 years and we've built and lived in a van we are incredibly proud of, and I've filmed and photographed love & life commitments all up and down the West Coast, throughout national and state parks, and parts of Central America.

Back then, I never really imaged that this would become or stay my full-time job. Or, that I would be inspired and changed by the people I've been able to serve. When I step back, I can hardly believe I get to piece together the stories of such kind, genuine people, and feel a profound amount of gratitude to document their life-changing events.

So thanks for following along, whether from the beginning or since yesterday. And thank you deeply to my clients for trusting me with your stories. Far beyond all the travel and adventure, it's that I get to document something as impactful as your love for one another, that makes this job something far more than I ever dreamed up.

Sweet little baby Eleanor Joy will be earth side so soon!

My time in San Diego happened to perfectly line up with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law getting ready to welcome their first little one into the world. I've been able to capture milestones for these two over the past couple years, and this just one of the most exciting.

One of my goals in being your filmmaker or photographer is to feel like a friend to you by the time we get to your elopement or wedding day. After having personally made some very close "real life" friends through the use of Instagram, I hope this is a place where you can get to know me better before hiring me for your wedding or elopement. So to start, here's a little more about me!

I have been married to my adventure bud, Nathan for 4 years. We love to spend our time rock climbing, camping, cooking, skiing, dancing in the kitchen, and practicing yoga.

I am an enneagram 4w3 and ENFJ on the Meyers Briggs. On the outside I'm pretty extraverted + talkative, and on the inside I'm sappy + introspective.

Some random facts about me:
- I sometimes happy cry while watching birds fly through the sky.
- I'd rather talk around a fire than play a board game.
- I love blasting angsty, alternative rock even when I’m happy.
- Nathan and I converted our camper van entirely by hand in 2020, and since then have lived in it intermittently for months at a time. (Her name is Sheila 🚐)
- I first picked up a camera in 2015 and turned my love for people, the outdoors and storytelling into my full-time gig in 2019!

Excited to continue using this platform to get to know you as well— drop a fun fact about you down below or dm me! I truly love that social media lets people from all over connect, what a cool thing.

Audrey's first look with her dad will be one that I will never forget.

First looks aren't always just between you and your partner, I've witnessed first looks with dads, moms, brothers, bridesmaids — each of them a special way to say "this is a big moment, and I want to have a minute to share with just you."

A few of my favorites with this little fam this summer in Seattle ——

Kim and Hiram were a few of my very first clients back in 2019. Since then I've captured their engagement, wedding, maternity session, and now this family session with their sweet little girl. Let me tell you it is ~ crazy ~ getting see families grow over the years and to get to meet the little humans they are bringing into the world is one the biggest privileges 🤍

New blog live! — Central Oregon Adventure Session — head to my website to see more of what an adventure or anniversary session could look like for you!

R & J moved to Bend just a couple years ago. They quickly fell in love with the town and ability to live and do life so close to accessible activities like skiing, hiking, and a ton of good breweries and food.

Since Central Oregon has so many beautiful places to explore, my husband and I decided to make a trip out of it and took our camper van to Smith Rock for the weekend to climb since it is renowned for its sport climbing.

The two days before this shoot, Nathan and I scampered and climbed all up and down the walls of the canyon of Smith Rock State Park, and went on a scenic hike that circumnavigated the rock formations you see in these pictures.

21/11/2022

I turned 27 yesterday.

Each trip around the sun seems to be full of new ideas, ambitions and things learned — some met, some forgotten, and some deemed no longer useful. I’ve noticed that this is what makes each year feel the same yet different.

This year I learned that most things around me are beautiful. Whether I immediately see them to be or not — sometimes it takes patience and space, other times it takes an intentional perspective shift. This year I’ve enjoyed leaning into who I am and who I want to be, realizing the amount of control I do have in both of those things and feeling the freedom that this control brings.

I asked a lot of questions this year and made lots of little decisions. I found answers and found even more silence. I discovered a better sense of ‘home’ that is rooted much deeper than a place of residence; one that I’m just now learning to lean into. I let go of some exceptions, and was made aware of others. I decided that life was a lot simpler 10 years ago, and that I understood the world a whole lot better the, but a lot less fully.

I’m thankful for birthdays in the way that they draw a line in the sand of a life that seems to go by faster and faster — and Im thankful to have been given another year in a world that is filled with more questions than answers, music that makes you dance, food that makes you smile, air the makes you breath deeper, and people to love and be loved by.

I'm moving! 🌞
..for the winter that is! San Diego will be mine and Nathan's home from December through April! After our lease ends this month, we will be packing up, (taking a quick detour to Italy), then heading down to San Diego for the winter.

This isn't a permanent move, so I will be back living in the PNW and available for elopements, weddings and sessions throughout the Spring and Summer. But it does mean that all of you who live in Southern California (or visiting) will get to take advantage of 10% off all bookings for December-April!

After Nathan and I met in San Diego over 6 years ago, we visit multiple times a year to see family and friends. Each time I'm down there I am continually inspired by the desert scapes, Ponderosa forests, and cliffy beaches — and have loved being able to shoot and help plan sessions throughout the Southern California area during those 6 years.

Stay tuned for more exciting announcements when it comes to San Diego bookings, and in the meantime reach out on my website to start planning your session!

Ivi and Rainier eloped at Mt Rainier during a sun-filled, colorful Fall day. Their families traveled from all over the United States, and got to witness their intimate ceremony in the park followed by toasts and brunch together.

After their ceremony we hiked up to this lookout with just the two of them, towing along their Buffalo Brie and baguette they picked up at Pikes Market in Seattle.

They got to take the day slow, soaking in each moment both with their families, and privately just the two of them.
