A dozen favourites from the Donington Historic Festival; squeezed-in between playing frisbee, tag, daisy chain making and anything else to keep a 5 year old happy at the circuit for 9 hours solid!

A brilliant day of racing where as predicted the 3 hour Royal Automobile Pall Mall Cup was the highlight with TVR Griffith once again defeating Cobra and E-Type!

Popped over to Donington for BTCC qualifying last weekend, having not witnessed modern touring cars first hand since the super touring era, and came away mightily impressed. Love the latest batch of Carrera Cup cars also!

Wow, what a rally! Massively impressed by the pace of the top BRC crews but the highlight for me was the incredible battle for historic honours between Perez and Price! Can we have more 60 odd mile rallies with 180 entries please?!

Looking forward to the Severn Valley Stages this weekend. 60+ stage miles feels like a return to the glory days of the ANCRO championship!

Torn between Hafren and Myherin but here are a few pics from when the rally graced the stages a little further south (2011 - 2018)

Dramatic skies galore on Good Friday at Donington Park for the Classic Touring Car Racing Club meet, with the added bonus of the British Endurance Championship and Mini 7 racing club!

Had my 5 year old with me and therefore knowing photo opportunities would be at a premium opted for the ultra light and space saving setup of canon 6d Mkii, 70-200 f4 and 35 f2 IS and was pretty pleased with the results.

Glad I kept hold of the 70-200 f4 as there is an argument to say it is sharper than the 2.8 when the light is good and not planning to shoot through catch fencing!

An incredibly difficult day photography wise in Dyfnant for Rally North Wales! Can’t remember the last time ISO 1000 was required on a rally and I’m not sure I have fully dried out yet!!

Great drive by Nick Elliott and Dave Price however, can’t believe it has been 2 and a half years since their last BHRC victory!

What a start to the UK gravel rally season that was! Snow and heavy rain in the run up to the event left the North Yorkshire stages a little on the ‘damp’ side!!

Cracking day of action in Wass and it was great to catch up with so many rally folk!

A few favourites from the Cropton stage of The Malton Forest Rally last weekend where George Lepley and Dale Bowen claimed Historic Category victory and Elliot Payne wrapped up a clean sweep of North Yorkshire Forest single day stage rally victories in the calendar year!

My final race meeting of the year was a genuine highlight, brilliant (unexpected) autumnal light and one of the best Pre-66 3 hour endurance races you will ever see, culminating in an excellent 1-2 for Nigel Reuben Racing!
