These models are crazy. Big number jumps this morning and now showing less.
Schools and businesses already closed for tomorrow. I guess we will wake up and find out at this point.
12/02/2024
We are looking colder for the coast tomorrow which means more snow less mixing.
Let’s talk timing.
This is a quick one. Dropping snow quickly then out of here.
Starting early early morning hours. 4-5am. Mostly out of here by the afternoon rush hour. Snow day for the kiddos I’m sure.
Snowfall rates will be inch + per hour. My first call was 3-6. I think I’m bumping to 6-10.
Stay safe and warm.

Is it a miss again for I-95?? The cut off of mixing again is along the coast. Northwestern Ct. you have the highest chance of seeing more than 8 inches of snow.
New London County (excluding the immediate shoreline). My initial call right now is 3-6 inches Start time is after midnight Monday. Likely for school closings Tuesday. I’ll keep ya posted

Snow for Tuesday??!! 😳

Not really changing my predictions yet. I know most local channels are saying most of the state 6-12. I just don’t see it. The storm will be out of here by 10am Sunday. A quick hitter with warm air injection won’t have a chance to dump a foot of snow. Maybe I’ll change my thoughts or they will change there’s. We shall see. This map is from accuweather and best supports what I think.

If you are looking for great snowfall event this weekends storm is not it. Shoreline as of right now gets snow to mixing to snow to rain. Which makes accumulations
24/01/2023
Been a bit quiet…but haven’t had much to report. Who is ready for some REAL snow? 🙌🏻
23/02/2022
Here we go.
Start as snow for everyone after midnight Thursday into Friday.
Shoreline change over happens first to sleet
Shoreline of Ct 2-5 inches
Most of the state 4-8

Thoughts on Friday coming tomorrow.

28/01/2022
Eastern Ct,All of RI This is your storm.
28/01/2022
It’s gonna snow! Friday is your prep day.
27/01/2022
Gfs caved to other models. Good old New England snowstorm.
27/01/2022
Snow map from Acuuweather. Bernie Rayno is a very scientific meteorologist that I admire. This has been his map for a few days.
Accumulation maps are never a set in stone forecast. They are predictions based on lots of science.

Winter storm watch!
27/01/2022
Prepare for a storm Saturday. Plain and simple. What’s the harm if you are over prepared. First significant storm of the year for sure.
26/01/2022
Model runs are at war. Some more East some more west.
A more East scenario means less snow west of the Ct river
Doesn’t change much for Eastern Ct and RI
Still calling a foot for snow for those areas if not a few inches more.
Don’t live and breathe by each model run. They are guidance not forecasts.

NOTE THE COMMENTS
I have responded to lots of individual cities and towns. Go through the comments and you will
Likely find yours or close by.
Reminding these are prelim
I do think if they change they will be going up but we shall see
Where do you live? I’ll give you some prelim snow accumulations.

Full post tomorrow about Saturday! Euro has been strong since Sunday night. GFS is back and forth. Snow is a Yes for Saturday. Wind is also a Yes. How much…enough. Stay tuned for updates
25/01/2022
The snow this morning is so pretty!
Are you ready for the possibility of a big big storm?
07/01/2022
What’s your area look like
07/01/2022
Staying with my 4-8 inches. Will be done and out of here by noon tomorrow but clean up could be slower due too…yea you know…shortages
06/01/2022
By now you have heard SNOW!!
Overnight tonight 2-3am snow really picks up in Ct.
4-8 inches for most of us. The closer to NY the less you’ll see. The closer to RI the higher end totals will hit ya.
