Yesterday marked 49 years since The Exorcist came out in theaters. Not only is this horror flick the ultimate possession movie, it made history as being the first horror film to be nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award in 1974. For this reason and many others, Regan is prominently featured in Mally’s “women in horror” tattoo sleeve — shoutout to for his amazing work so far!!!

Michael Jackson, Prince, and Mick Jagger were considered to play Goblin King Jareth. Jim Henson preferred Sting, until his kids convinced him that David Bowie (who had reached his peak of mainstream popularity with the "Let's Dance" album) would be best suited to it. Bowie wanted to make a children's movie, liked the concept, and found the script funnier and more amusing than many other contemporary special effects movies.

As we're watching , I was like, "Where have I seen the actress who plays the secretary, Noreen, before?" Well, S**U — she's a Cusack! Turns out there are FIVE Cusack siblings, all of whom are actors or have acted at some point in their lives. You all know Joan and John, but there's also Ann, Bill, and Susie. Crazy!

When I had the "AHA" moment that Ann Cusack was Shirley Baker in A League of Their Own, I lost my s**t! I can just hear her perfect Southern accent in my head saying "Shirley Baker" when she's asked her name after the tryouts and you find out she can't read. Love that character!!!

The most recent thing I've seen with Andie MacDowell was the Netflix Series Maid. Margaret Qualley, who plays Alex, is the real-life daughter of Andie MacDowell, who plays Paula. This show marks the first time both appear together in a production.

The same with ‘Multiplicity.' I couldn’t be less interested in the subject of cloning or its moral implications. For me, it’s not about the hook; it’s a fable that says something about life.

From an early age, we’re told by TV, movies, advertising and family what a man is. We start role-modeling ourselves, but we’re working off of contradictory models. Real men are supposed to be Casanovas and seduce as many women as they can, but at the same time a real man is faithful to his wife and family. We’re supposed to be strong, aggressive and competitive, but also caring, understanding and emotional. We need to work hard at our jobs, but then have time to take the family skiing and drive the kids to ballet and karate lessons and the orthodontist, keep the car clean, read a book and even think a thought.

All of these pressures result in people getting more fragmented. We thought the most convenient breakup of this guy would be in the most obvious components: the more masculine, the more feminine/nurturing and the inner-child sides. The movie suggests, however, that the answer isn’t to get more fragmented, but more integrated."

Eugene Levy is one of those actors that has all these different eras of his career. There's 80s/90s Eugene Levy who somehow always played a bumbling weirdo. Millennials undoubtedly know him from the American Pie franchise in the 2000s. And of course, we've come to love him an immeasurable amount for co-creating and co-starring in Schitt's Creek. What a storied career! We love you Eugene Levy!

Andie MacDowell is kind of a big deal. She has appeared in two films that have been selected for the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically or aesthetically" significant: S*x, Lies, and Videotape (1989) and Groundhog Day (1993).

In order for multiple Michael Keatons to appear on screen at the same time, the filmmakers needed to develop an efficient ‘twinning’ effects solution. For that they turned to Richard Edlund’s Boss Film Studios.

Of the overall approach to splitscreens, Endlund said in an interview for the book "Masters of FX":

"Well, the technical complexity here was that it was a 99 day shoot – a long shooting schedule. Michael was playing four different roles and carrying the movie. He had to change his character and wardrobe and make-up between each take. Harold had hired three stand-ins for Michael and each one of the stand-ins had the personality of the character and the body language. These were professional actors who were real smart guys.

The first take—it was always going to be the key take and it would encompass a camera move and all that and so each take had pan tilt, dolly, track, boom and follow focus. The camera operator always teases the move with the gear head. We had a special gear head he was operating via video.

We also had a motion control system that was silent that I built for Alien 3. At that time it was the only silent system, including a dolly and a boom. It was a Fisher Model 9 dolly that we hot-rodded."

We have official surpassed 300 downloads of our minisode on part 1 of Phoenix Rising 😲 You can expect a minisode on part 2 very very soon! I think a rebuttal is overdue in light of the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial. A lot of as****es on the internet have taken to drawing connections between these 2 women and I have a thing or two to say about it. And its not going to be nice.

This is why Mally picked Reese for her "best actor" category 🎪✨ 🗣 From Reese: Going through my computer, I found this an old email that linked to footage from my training days on the film #WaterForElephants. 🎥🎪 WOW! It took me back to 2010, when I got to work with some extremely talented circus trainers for my role as Marlena. Preparing for this film with @aloysiagavre and all the trainers at @cirqueschool was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Learning all of those flips took five months of daily practice, practice, and MORE PRACTICE. When I started, I had no idea how hard it would be (those performers make it look so easy!) But, I threw myself into training with every bit of determination I had. I definitely fell down, A LOT 🙈. I loved the challenge. Playing Marlena was such a great moment in my career. The stunt work really pushed me farther than I had ever gone as an actor. I loved all of it... From the scenes to the costumes to my co-stars...and all the furry and not furry ones! It’s memories like this that make me feel really lucky to be an actor and a storyteller. I want thank each and everyone of you who support my work.
