Faces on the Radio Faces on the Radio was a podcast made by music enthusiasts that began in 2012 and ended in 2015. htt We hope you enjoy it.

Faces on the Radio was a free, weekly podcast that began in 2012 and ended in 2015. We discussed music, both new and old, and a variety of different talking points. It was the brainchild of three people:

-Hollister Dixon, editor-in-chief and former writer of This Temporary Life
-Arya Imig, correspondent manager
-Yousef Hatlani, in-house photographer

We got together on a weekly basis, and talked

about new and old music, and discussed a topic. We also discuss shows we saw recently, and other things we were into at the moment. This podcast is dedicated to anyone and everyone with an obsessive-compulsive love of music, and the people who put up with that kind of behavior.

We are devastated to learn of Charles Bradley's passing.

Charles was one of our all-time favorite performers—and one of the sweetest, most genuine and most inspiring human beings anyone could ever meet.

By Hollister Dixon A few songs into Sunday's Mountain Goats show at the Crystal Ballroom, frontman John Darnielle told a story about going back to his old apartment, and finding a mark he'd left on the door when he lived in it decades earlier. In the hands of a lesser artist, this might seem like an innocuous thing to sing about - but Darnielle turned the experience of turning his return to his 13th and Taylor apartment into a song - "We Shall All Be Healed", a song which was sadly left off the album of the same name - about the simple joys of making it out of a horrible situation alive: "Stared down demons, came back breathing." This week, Cardiff, Wales' Los Campesinos! are embarking on their first major North American tour in FIVE years. In honor of this - and in honor of their Doug Fir Lounge performance THIS WEDNESDAY (2/22) - Hollister Dixon poured his love of the band into a ten-song primer for the uninitiated.

In the decade since they began, Cardiff, Wales’ Los Campesinos! have evolved a tremendous amount, tightening and altering their core aesthetics with every passing album. In honor of their Nor…
