Another very helpful review, though this whole last month I've been left wondering, well, if I'm 'too woke' then just what is the right amount of woke. I'm guessing 26.5% is closer to acceptable. 🤔😂

I love hearing from all sorts of listeners with all sorts of perspectives. Reviews that have previously said my delivery wasn't great led me to rethink and try to be more natural, for instance. The front page that captured the start of the extraordinary manhunt for Kevin John Simmonds. Police got off to a bad start by using a 1957 mugshot of Simmo, rather than the more recent one that's on the cover of my book. Was it a mistake? Or were they worried his hot mugshot would win him immediate sympathy from the ladies? 🤣

Thanks to 2 Hay FM for having me on to talk about They'll Never Hold Me. As an eight-year-old boy, Kevin John Simmonds lived in Hay in 1943-44, right next to the internment camp housing Italian enemy POWs, and it shaped his world view.

Kmart is still a work-in-progress.
Amazon has 1 copy with more on the way, apparently.
Apologies to everyone who tried to buy the book since publication but has been unable to get a copy. I'm still waiting to hear why this happened. Thanks also to everyone who checked their local stores to let me know it wasn't on shelf.
