This one is the best. I love that I got two stars AND a vom emoji. It's like someone asking: 'How was the restaurant?' and you reply: 'Well, I got food poisoning but the serves were really big!' 🤣

Another very helpful review, though this whole last month I've been left wondering, well, if I'm 'too woke' then just what is the right amount of woke. I'm guessing 26.5% is closer to acceptable. 🤔😂

I love hearing from all sorts of listeners with all sorts of perspectives. Reviews that have previously said my delivery wasn't great led me to rethink and try to be more natural, for instance. But this thoughtful commentary is next level and has given me nothing but big smiles and huge laughs. So, thank you, whoever you are! Rest assured, I've taken your analysis on board! I will try to be Oxy Moron Less. 🤣🤣🤣🤔

An airport thriller:
With Bourne-like stealth and the pinpoint situational awareness of an adolescent meerkat, the mid-list true-crime author weaves through the crowd, sizes up the scene and embarks on immediate decisive action – after, of course, politely seeking the kind permission of the champions at Sydney Airport NewsLink, who prove to be true crime enthusiasts! The front page that captured the start of the extraordinary manhunt for Kevin John Simmonds. Police got off to a bad start by using a 1957 mugshot of Simmo, rather than the more recent one that's on the cover of my book. Was it a mistake? Or were they worried his hot mugshot would win him immediate sympathy from the ladies? 🤣

Thanks to 2 Hay FM for having me on to talk about They'll Never Hold Me. As an eight-year-old boy, Kevin John Simmonds lived in Hay in 1943-44, right next to the internment camp housing Italian enemy POWs, and it shaped his world view.

We chat with author Michael Adams about his latest release They'll never hold me.

I'm launching They'll Never Hold Me on home turf in Wentworth Falls tomorrow. Craig of Good Earth Books is a true crime aficionado and it's always a pleasure to be interviewed by someone who knows their stuff. Come on down! It's free, of course, and no-one will be asked to buy a book (though you won't be allowed to leave without one 😄).

Get tickets on Humanitix - In Conversation with Michael Adams. Good Earth Bookshop, 24 Station St, Wentworth Falls NSW 2782, Australia. Saturday 9th November 2024. Find event information.

Just like Highlander, there can only be one. This Christmas will see two books battle it out for non-fiction bestseller supremacy.

They'll Never Hold Me has finally arrived in my Big W - and in yours.
Kmart is still a work-in-progress.
Amazon has 1 copy with more on the way, apparently.
Apologies to everyone who tried to buy the book since publication but has been unable to get a copy. I'm still waiting to hear why this happened. Thanks also to everyone who checked their local stores to let me know it wasn't on shelf.
