Another great afternoon fishing on the Rondout. We really hit the small mouths well with crank baits. Toward the end of the evening they were hitting top water as well. Also hit a beautiful large mouth on a crank bait. 4.14 Lbs. Beautiful day for fishing. All during low tide

Pretty good results this week. Didn’t do so well with the Stripers. Other than the monster in the picture. We ended the day bass fishing and we hit them pretty consistently. Crank baits are still the bait of choice.

So Lake Eufaula was a bust for us. We got rained out the first day and had a tornado go over the campground. Luckily we had pulled the boat out and we were 6miles away when it hit. The lake was two feet above flood stage and really muddy. We did get to fish with some alligators which is a first for me.

Herring are running heavy in the Hudson. Stripers are coming. We caught a few really nice small mouths with deep diving crank bait. A couple 3 1/2 lb and some 2 lb. I also had a couple of catfish hit the crank bait. One weighed 6 Lbs

So after 35 years of being apart, two Army buddies, Scott Ross and Jon Decker have reconnected. We are going to follow our mutual passion for bass fishing. We will be recording our adventures. We hope you will follow along.
