The 2000+ years that the Jewish Nation has been in exile have taught us that not having our homeland has costs us many more lives than fighting to keep out homeland. If we look at our history, the countries of the world who have not exiled or persecuted the Jews can be counted on one hand. Now that G-d has led us back to his land we must appreciate the gift we are given and do everything we can to make sure we never need to rely on the "hospitality" of foreign nations.
