TODAY, the pioneer magazine on tourism and business in Myanmar, at two decades old (or young?), now sees 200-plus staff at its namesake Group of companies. We continued publishing it, even at a loss, during the hard times of national economy because we considered it too essential a publication to the country to fail. On every TODAY anniversary our contributions go out to orphanages, school for the
deaf and mute, victims of disasters natural or man-made, let alone the donations made of late to some areas in Kachin State. TODAY Foundation since its inception this year will take up Corporate Social Responsibilities oriented towards education under that heading. At Beauty of Myanmar Photo Contest held in commemoration of 20th Anniversary of TODAY Group of Companies some choice artworks of Myanmar photographers were sent on to compete in “Asia Without Borders” organized by Asian Geographic Magazine Pte Ltd of Singapore. There a Myanmar photographer emerged winner of the GRAND Prize. Thus we have stood our ground for 20 years, thanks to the cooperation and help given by concerned authorities writers, photographers, page designers, illustrators, advertisers and suppliers, to be encapsulated in the well-worn phrase of local use: Thanks go out to all to whom thanks are due. In coming years we will try to bring out a TODAY magazine of still better quality, requesting your continued help.
