As both a label and a blog, Astral Cat isn't defined by genre or locale, although our primary focus is music overlooked by the mainstream: electronic, jazz, experimental, or any type of sound that would otherwise fall under the category of "left field." We want music that asks a question it doesn't know the answer to. Music that isn't afraid to fail. Music that wasn't created for its own sake. Music that attempts to push beyond the everyday realm of existence.
