🎶 August vinyl series announcement!! 🎶 We’re honored to have been asked by to curate every Wednesday in August at their beautiful hi-fi lounge in downtown Oakland! Long Road Society artists (and soon-to-be LRS artists 😉) are on the decks from 8-11pm in this beautiful listening room, playing full length (or at least full sides of) records that inspire them. It’s free to hang and listen… and there’s also delicious drinks at the bar!!🍸 stacked summer takeover lineup below…

Radio heat has been out for ✨3 months✨ and to celebrate here’s an extra cheesy picture of me & the night we opened the record and heard the needle drop for the first time (obviously can’t really contain our enthusiasm ☺️). Thank you to everyone who has listened, shared, reviewed, and loved this record - we’re so grateful that it’s out there and getting its flowers 💐 The vinyl is selling FAST so get your orders in while we contemplate a 2nd pressing!!

So much gratitude to the team who helped guide this beauty into being, especially co-producer/conspirator 👽, allll the incredible musicians who played on it, recording engineers & 🎛️, and of course our incredible label partner 🫶

There’s a new recording studio in Crockett and we’re celebrating this Sunday with a grand opening party!! studios is the work of this man 👆 who’d really love to be behind the board but instead has spent the last year with power tools turning this historic Crockett building into a beautiful recording studio. Once the Clayton Bailey museum, the space has a local weirdo art history and we’re pretty sure this is just the start of a new chapter…. So join us this Sunday for an afternoon of music, art, pizza, and 🍻 featuring sets from and 🎸 art from .tits & 🧶 & food from Buffalo Bills alleyway pizza 🍕 starts at 3pm, get there early for the free stuff!! 325 Rolph Ave in Crockett 🎉

We’ve heard for years that is the best in the bay but we’re finally finding out first hand 🤩 reliving the release show through Ginger’s lens is as close as it gets to the real thing, and we’re so grateful to have these incredible photos to return to again and again! 🎞️🙏

This first set highlights some of the key players… Des & her band of angels, + 🇵🇸 + all the beautiful people who came out to get wild with us along the river (all those familiar faces in the crowd shot overwhelms the heart 🥹) There’s far too many good photos for one post, so plenty more will be shared in the coming days!

Radio Heat by Desiree Cannon is now out in the wild! 🖤 As many of you know, Desiree is a cornerstone of the Long Road Society, and we're honored that she has trusted us with another suite of her inspired, intentional songs. THANK YOU to the many talented, creative humans that worked day & night to bring this record to life.

Radio Heat also marks our first collaborative release with Gar Hole Records, an incredible label out of Arkansas - we highly recommend checking out their whole catalog... if you're an LRS fan, you're likely a GHR fan!

DESIREE CANNON RELEASE SHOW Feb. 24th at the River Theater in Guerneville! 📻🔥💦

From the moment we set foot inside the River Theater in 2020, we knew we had to plan something very special there in the future. was a radio DJ at at the time, and we met up with her in Guerneville to listen to her show and get a tour of this beautiful, historic venue. With meteors hanging from the ceiling and the original alien figure from ALIEN on the stage, Des was obviously right at home. 👽 SO, when it came time to plan a release show for her stunning, deep-space-inspired album Radio Heat, the River Theater just seemed like the place…

SO, WE HOPE YOU JOIN US on Saturday, February 24th to be serenaded by Desiree & band + the incomparable 🎸, to dance into the night with DJs and and to wander around this piece of living history. DRESS TO IMPRESS 💅🏼 for a night on the river with so many special people. Celebrating today as he makes a full lap around the sun one more time. 🥳 So many of the photos I have of Pat are some version of this… big smile on his face while making music with his friends 🫶🎶 if you know him you know his talent, generosity, fierce friendship, New-England-born-and-raised work ethic, contagious laughter, and selfless, constant commitment to music. It is no exaggeration to say he plays some part in every single project on our record label, and we’ve been honored to have him as a collaborator since day one. 🙏 He’s the incredible composer behind ✨, leads a double life re-building pianos full time, and in his spare moments is the operator of his handbuilt soundsystem .hifi 😳 oh, and he’s also a DJ with impeccable taste!! Very excited that TONIGHT he’ll be putting down some Jamaican tunes for all of us to groove to… come swing & dance at for the Steady Rockin’ vinyl reggae party in honor of this man’s birthday!! ‘tis the season my sweet & spooky friends 👻 and we're very excited to begin it with the announcement of this beautiful event (alongside this incredible poster from 🤯)!! We are collaborating with in Port Costa for the first time and we got to build this total dreamboat of a lineup feat. & 🤤. This is a free, all day party (starts at 1pm!) with local vendors & artists ( & to name a few), delicious food & drinks (BVR never disappoints 🍹), and live music starting at 5pm (sharp!)...

If you haven't been to Port Costa, the town itself is worth the visit - you can sit along the banks of the Carquinez Strait, flatten pennies on the railroad tracks, shop for crystals & vintage, and even check out the iconic neighboring bar (the Warehouse) right across the street. PLUS, by the time October 29th rolls around, the days will be darker, the veil will be thinner, and the full moon will have just graced the night sky!! In summary, it will be a day & night full of magic in a special little town and we hope you can join us. Your ancestors are invited too!! We will have a community altar set up and everyone is welcome to bring pictures & offerings to honor their loved ones. 🕯️

sent me this celestial forecast from this week and I just can’t get enough of it, “On Sunday, mark your calendars with a gold star. The Sun conjoins Venus in a cazimi, shining golden rays of warmth and pleasure onto our bonds. Sunday is one of the best days for connection, adornment, beauty, and art during this Venus retrograde cycle. So dress up. Feel cute. Gather your loved ones. And enjoy.” 💫 That’s THIS SUNDAY my friends and the forecast calls for golden rays of warmth and pleasure shining onto our bonds ☺️ I certainly plan to take this seriously by dressing up 👗 adorning the stage & bar with flowers from 🌹 & 🌸 and gathering with all my loved ones for a day of beauty and art!!

We hope you plan to join us all day!! Ever since our headquarters shifted to Crockett a few years ago, we've been patiently awaiting the right time to plan a show at our local (iconic) bar & venue ... and today we're very excited to announce that the stars have aligned for our Crockett debut on Sunday, August 13th!! ✨ PLEASE JOIN US along the Carquinez Strait for live music from a cast of Long Road Society artists: full band sets from & plus special guest appearances from & storyteller (+ local Crockett resident) Ben Bourdon. If you love Run With The Moon, consider this show to be like its louder, slightly rowdier cousin. We'll also have parked out front all night so come hungry! 🌮

SHOW DAY!! 👏 it’s been a minute since I’ve been behind the turntables in public so I’m truly looking forward to kicking off our show tonight at ❤️‍🔥 there will definitely been a friends & family // local legends portion of my set (sampling seen here) but also plenty of of psych, blues, and soul from the record vaults! I’ll likely be trying to make & blush by playing at least a song or two from their beautiful albums before they take the stage ☺️ (NOTE: THE ROSE SOCIETY from Angelica isn’t in this stack because I’ll be picking up my copy tonight…and you should you!)

The latest review of Shasta from Various Small Flames deserves its own spotlight!! 🔦 the folks that write for VSF just seem to understand our artists and most importantly actually listen to our records deeply before writing about them 🙏 we have so much gratitude for music listeners & writers like this when most outlets just regurgitate a press release in a pay-to-play PR world. Their review of Shasta by Levi Thomas is worth the full read (link below, I only posted the first couple paragraphs) and while you’re at it you should check out their incredible write up of “The Light” from Dawn Riding (one of the only music outlets that did a deep dive into that work of art). We will honor this incredible weekend soon but today is all about Levi Thomas and this sweet album premiere from It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine!! LEVI THOMAS / SHASTA releases May 9th, vinyl pre-orders & release show tix available now!

We've been holding our tongues on this one for a while but are very excited to announce SHASTA by Levi Thomas - a limited-edition vinyl (and digital) release hitting the air waves on May 9th! This album holds a very special place in our record label's journey, as it is the first project we’ve released to be recorded and mixed at our Big Sur analog outpost Sundog Studios. In the digital age, this project truly remained in the bounds of the analog recording experience - Levi & his band showed up with a clear vision, and created a beautiful album on an 8-track Tascam 388, recorded and mixed down by Kit Center in one room on a coastal mountaintop (powered by the sun). It was a dream and we're honored to release it into the wild - vinyl pre-orders are available now and tickets are live for our Oakland release show celebration!! Link in the comments below!

Shasta owes it's gritty, psychedelic sound to the work of many talented musicians: Levi (vocals, guitars), Dominic Aiello (drums), Darwin Siegaldoud (bass, organ, wurlitzer), CH McCoy (piano, organ, wurlitzer), Nicholas Merz (pedal steel, BGVs), & Kit Center (drum machine, percussion, BGVs). Thank you to everyone who collaborated to make this beautiful album, including Amelia Walsh who really translated the album into the visual realm & delivered on this epic painting (pic 2) for the album cover 🥵 And they won't see this, but so much gratitude to Christie & Melina for stewarding a space to create freely.

The release show is set for May 13th at Thee Stork Club and it'll be a real family affair with sets by Levi, Kit, & Desiree Cannon !! We're still floored by the incredible poster that Guston Abrigh hand-painted for this night of music (pic 3) and will have a limited # of custom printed copies at the show (this FB post demands a square but we will have true show bills on the 13th)!

Tickets for our full moon campout are going fast and I have a feeling they might be moving even faster after this news ➡️ We’re very excited to host 3 Bay Area chefs / food popups over the weekend!! 🤤 offerings include:

🌮 Friday night’s dinner from - a Bay Area popup that weaves Mexican and Mediterranean ancestral foods, with a penchant for local California ingredients. The menu centers traditional handmade tortillas produced in Oakland (that are so delicious!!)

🍳 Saturday mornings breakfast from the hands of (the chef behind 🍕). Craig spent a lot of time learning how to make fancy food, foraging and running a critically acclaimed illegal restaurant... now he just wants to make you a breakfast sandwich. (Lucky us 😍)

🍛 And Saturday night’s dinner from .oakland - we’ll be getting an early taste of the newest Filipino lunch spot opening in Downtown Oakland this spring!! There will be rice bowls, shroomy noodles & more!
