Terrorists Killed in Heavy Exchange of Fire with Security Forces
there were four terrorists killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Tuesday. The encounter took place in the Sindhara area of Poonch, and the terrorists were killed after a heavy exchange of fire.
The security forces involved in the operation were the Indian Army's Special Forces, Rashtriya Rifles, and the Jammu and Kashmir police. The deceased terrorists were identified as Adil Hussain Mir, a resident of Shopian; Bilal Ahmad Rather, a resident of Kulgam; Irfan Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Pulwama; and Adil Hussain Sheikh, a resident of Shopian.
This is the second major encounter in Poonch in the past two weeks. On July 6, four terrorists were killed in an encounter in the Mendhar area of the district.
The security forces have stepped up their operations against terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir in recent months. In the past few weeks, there have been several encounters between security forces and terrorists in different parts of the Kashmir Valley.
The latest encounter in Poonch comes just days after four civilians were killed in a suspected terror attack in Rajouri district. The civilians were killed when terrorists opened fire on a car in the Budhal area of Rajouri.
The violence in Jammu and Kashmir has been a major concern for the Indian government. The government has been trying to find a way to end the violence, but so far, no solution has been found.
