NLCA 2024 with Grade 7 Batch A & B
TNHS conducts NLCA School-based Orientation
In preparation for the NLCA (National Learning Camp Assessment), Tiglawigan National High School conducted a School-based Orientation for Grade 7 learners at the ICT Laboratory on April 1, 2024! The orientation was facilitated by the dedicated team consisting of Ma'am Ayre Keeshia Gwin Hiponia (JHS ICT Coordinator), Sir Victorio Nacman Jr. (School Testing Coordinator), Sir Jason Llyod Baluma (School ICT Coordinator), and Sir Peter Mark Babaylo (SHS Testing Coordinator), along with the support of our esteemed school principal, Sir Marwin D. Descalsota, and the collaborative efforts of our Grade 7 class advisers Ma'am Ellamae Macasa, Ma'am Ailyn Degala, Ma'am Leah Villanueva, Ma'am Mia Rose Benggan, Ma'am Joyce Niala, Ma'am Nellan Mendoza, and Ma'am Geralyn Javier, the orientation was a resounding success!
During the orientation, the selected Grade 7 learners who will take the NLCA on April 2, 2024 were given an overview on what NLCA is all about and what is expected of them to do, and were taught how to access their accounts in the moodle platform. This orientation aims to empower our learners and alleviate challenges they may face during the NLCA. This is also to prepare the learners for the test and provide technical assistance on the use of laptops or tablets. Moreover, the learners were taught how to update their demographic profiles with the guidance of the facilitators.

Successful GPTA Assembly Marks a New Chapter for TNHS!
Today marked a significant milestone as we held our first General PTA Assembly under the leadership of our new School Principal, Mr. Marwin D. Descalsota. Sir Marwin passionately outlined his visionary plans for the school, seeking the invaluable consent and approval of parents on crucial matters. The assembly featured insightful presentations, including Ma'am Jenny Dublado presenting the much-anticipated plans for the JS Prom, and Ma'am Ailyn Degala shedding light on the Early Registration process. Additionally, Sir Jundell Arias addressed concerns for the SHS students.
Various concerns were also thoughtfully discussed by Sir Marwin, ranging from fostering camaraderie with the "Share a Meal, Win the Heart of a Friend" initiative, to matters of learner and parent attendance, 4Ps obligations, the acknowledgment of PTA donation of the Perimeter Fence, introduction of plans for new curricular offerings, and the school information updates through the School Official page.
Following the assembly, the Homeroom PTA Meeting commenced, where class advisers tackled important classroom matters including the implementation of catch-up Fridays, addressing learners' failing grades, remediation strategies, behavioral concerns, and other pertinent matters. Moreover, as a celebration of our collective success, report cards were distributed to parents and guardians, and academic excellence awardees were recognized through certificates.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our dedicated parents and learners for the successful completion of the second quarter! Your support and commitment to academic excellence truly have made a difference. January 12, 2024 | Today marks the launch of our commitment to the CATCH-UP FRIDAYS-an initiative of the Department of Education to strengthen the fundamental social, and other relevant skills necessary to actualize the intent of the basic education curriculum by focusing on the development of learner's critical thinking, reading, analytical, and writing skills. This initiative commences today through the implementation of the DROP EVERYTHING AND READ (DEAR) Day where our learners are immersed in silent reading activities guided by their class advisers.

TNHSians celebrated the power of words during the National Reading Month! Guided by the theme "Pagbasa: Pa-asa Para sa Matatag na Kinabukasan," our school embarked on an incredible literary journey.
The event kicked off with an empowering hour of Drop Everything and Read A Book, facilitated by our dedicated class advisers. The day unfolded with Film Showing per grade level, igniting imaginations through the magic of storytelling on screen.
Creativity soared with contests in Story-telling, Poster Making, and Essay Writing - showcasing the diverse talents of our students. In the afternoon, the school came alive with a vibrant parade of characters and their portrayals, culminating in a heartwarming awarding ceremony.
