Get ready for big-time heat today!
Heat Advisory is in effect for all of South Carolina and Georgia. High temperatures across the Midlands today will reach between 95 and 100° with a heat index pushing near 110° to 112° in some areas.
This is extremely dangerous heat and can cause heat exhaustion extremely quickly…also, if that wasn’t enough, we have the chance for strong thunderstorms by this afternoon, some of which will contain heavy rain and damagingwinds, be sure to share this with family and friends so it stays on their timeline and stay with me throughout this Sunday for the very latest.

Get ready for warmer temperatures as we move through the week with highs in the mid 90s and very little chance of rain. I’m convinced this is why this tree is sneaking into the river to take a dip and cooling off.

Tracking what could be strong to severe thunderstorms on Memorial Day. Look for about two rounds of thunderstorms one in the morning and one in the afternoon that could produce damaging winds, hail, frequent lightning, and extremely heavy downpours. The tornado threat is low again. Keep a close eye to the sky if you have plans outdoors for Monday. Below is the slight risk issued from the storm prediction center and thoughts on the timing of the event for tomorrow
