More often than not, I only travel with a carry-on and I’ve done everything from a week on the beach in Costa Rica straight to a winter getaway in Italy with just one bag. I like having my things with me and I genuinely believe less is more (and easier) — as long as you pack smart.
Here are some of my go-to travel hacks to make it work and still feel put together:
– I pack one pair of heels that go with everything - day to night, casual to dressy.
– I stick to a “capsule” wardrobe: neutrals, layers, and just a few pops of color, texture, or statement accessories to keep it fun.
– My makeup bag is minimal - just the basics plus a few bold lip colors to switch things up.
– I never travel without a portable steamer unless I call the hotel ahead of time and ask if they have one (wrinkles are inevitable, but easily fixable).
– Toiletries stay travel-sized, always.
– Last but not least, packing cubes? Game changers. I roll everything to save space and stay organized.
