💻 How Do Video Editors Manage Those MASSIVE Files?
📂 Step 1: Free up space! Running out of storage? 🛑 That’ll slow your editing down big time. Always ensure your computer or hard drive has room to breathe.
⚡ Step 2: Make proxies! Proxies are low-res versions of your video files that let your editing software run smoother. 🚀
👉 In Adobe Premiere Pro:Right-click your file → Select “Proxy” → Hit “Create Proxies” → Toggle them on/off as needed. Easy, right? 🙌
If you’re working in another editing software, be sure to search it up on YouTube!
Save this for later if you’re an editor or tag a friend who’s diving into video work! 🎬✨

Feeling stiff? 🪑💻 Try these 6 stretches to ease neck tension!
1️⃣ Neck Rotation (Side to Side): Slowly turn your head to look over one shoulder, then the other. Keep it gentle and controlled.
2️⃣ Back and Forward Bend: Tilt your head back to look up, then forward to tuck your chin toward your chest.
3️⃣ Side Bend: Gently tilt your head to bring your ear toward your shoulder. Hold briefly, then switch sides.
4️⃣ Neck Retraction: Sit tall and gently pull your chin straight back, creating a "double chin." Keep your head level.
5️⃣ Lateral Neck Glide: Keep your head straight and gently shift your neck side to side, as if sliding along a straight line.
6️⃣ Forward Neck Roll: Drop your chin to your chest, then slowly roll your head toward one shoulder and back to center. Repeat on the other side.
⚠️ Disclaimer: I’m not a medical professional—these are just stretches that have worked for me!
Always listen to your body and avoid overexertion. Keep your movements soft and gentle to prevent injury.
💡 Save this post so you’re ready the next time your neck feels tight! 🕊️

✨ New Work Alert! ✨
I had the amazing opportunity to edit and create motion graphics for this Dove websinar! 🕊️ This project is all about helping kids challenge harmful beauty standards they encounter in the media—a cause I’m so proud to contribute to. 💪✨

✨ PSA for the busy bees: Don’t forget about YOU! ✨
Every holiday season, I find myself working nonstop, pushing through burnout... and guess what? I always end up sick by Christmas. Sound familiar? 🤧
Here’s your friendly reminder (and mine!) to stick to the self-care basics:
🍎 Eat nutritious meals
💤 Get enough sleep
⏸️ Take regular breaks
It might feel like there’s no time for these things, but trust me, taking care of yourself is the key to staying productive and feeling your best. 💪
Let’s make this year different—who’s with me? 🙌🎄 #SelfCareSeason #HolidayHustle #TakeCareOfYou #VideoEditor #Freelancer #SmallBusinessOwner
Mistakes New Video Editors Make (Part 2) 😱
A common error among new editors is sending exports without double-checking them. The exporting process can introduce issues, and it’s easy to overlook details. Always take the time to watch your export before delivering it to your client. Missing an obvious mistake can affect how professional you appear, even if the editing itself is excellent. A quick review goes a long way in showcasing your attention to detail and reliability.

Mistakes New Video Editors Make (Part 1) 😱
As a new video editor, it’s easy to feel attached to your work—and even more so to feel hurt when someone doesn’t love what you’ve created. This is a common hurdle, but it’s important to shift your mindset. Revisions are a natural part of the process, and your role is to bring your client’s vision to life. Instead of taking feedback personally, focus on understanding their perspective. Constructive criticism is a tool for growth, and your work is a vital part of a collaborative effort. You’ve got this! #Freelancer #VideoEditor
