Learn first-hand what a professional athlete thinks about his profession and life in general! The first year of the Ike Taylor Show welcomed guests such as Steelers owner Dan Rooney and Steelers teammates LaMarr Woodley, William Gay and Larry Foote. Ike discussed topics such as how he planned to defend New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker a week before limiting Welker to one of his worst
games of the season. Ike also discussed how NFL players discuss with each other the realities of how injuries will affect them later in life. John has known Ike since he began covering the Steelers in 2006. John wrote columns and covered the Steelers for five seasons before creating the Ike Taylor Show, which aired weekly during the season at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review building. The show will continue during the offseason with Ike moving to his home in Orlando, Florida, where he trains with speed and conditioning coach Tom Shaw and some of his Steelers teammates and other NFL players at the ESPN Disney World complex.
