As women we can spend a lot of time thinking of our outfits, but the most important one is THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD which we are to dress in each morning! The enemy wages war against us daily and we have to be prepared for battle, otherwise we will walk in defeat!
Yes, there is a very real battle going on that we do not even see with our human eyes. However, as believers in Jesus Christ, we have all that we need to fight that battle in Christ! We do not need to fight it with fear or trembling, but we can fight it with boldness and confidence. “Put on put the full armor of God, so that we can take our STAND against the devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:11). We need to PUT IT ON, as it is an action that is necessary on our part… and once we do we can STAND against the enemy!
So next time you get dressed, remember, did you put on your armour first? When you do, the outcome of the day will be different… Romans 8:37 says, “No, in all these things we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Him who loved us!” Your best outfit is to be worn daily!
In Matthew 15, the Canaanite woman asked Jesus to have mercy on her as her daughter was demon possessed. But Jesus answered her not a word. No answer. Did that stop her? She persisted and pressed on. There were 3 other obstacles that could have deterred her, and she could have walked away all 4 times! Instead she pressed on and didn’t give up until He healed her daughter!

In Matthew 15, a pagan, a Canaanite woman recognized Jesus and believed in Him as she cried out "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David!" in Matthew 15:21. She didn't only recognize Jesus when many of Jesus' own didn't recognize Him as the Messiah, but she believed... she TRUSTED Him as God who can help her! Do we think because we "believe" it is enough? Do you believe in Jesus, that He existed, and think that it is enough to go to heaven, but there is little evidence of a transformed life? James 2:19 says, "the devil believes and he trembles". Clearly the devil will not be in heaven because he "believes" yet he trembles.... trembles because of what awaits him in the end! How much more should we tremble in our walk with God? Serve Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength as the original Greek word "pistevo" for the word "believe" implies. You are to entrust, commit, and put faith in Christ, and it will mean action and fruit in your life! When Abigail heard that David was coming with 400 men to kill her husband Nabal and the whole household, she not only made haste to meet David down the road with provisions for his army and to plead with him, but she ran TO her danger!!! She was not afraid, and she even told David the whole situation was her fault! She could have died as David was on a killing spree, and he clearly could have killed her because she took the blame for Nabal’s folly! But she knew in 1 Samuel 25:29 that it was God who was responsible with the sling of David to kill Goliath, that the battle was the Lord’s! And she knew that He would fight HER battle and also protect HER in this situation so she had no fear!! He will fight YOUR battles, and as Abigail was not afraid to run into danger and risk her life because she knew the Lord was there for her, He will be there to fight for you also! In Genesis 21 wealthy Abraham sent off Hagar and his son Ishmael only with bread and water to wander off into the desert, and there is no record in the Bible that he ever saw them again! His own son… he only gave bread and water as his goodbye gift when he was one of the most wealthiest men alive at the time! It sounds so cruel… but God ordained it! Hagar had to be down to nothing … otherwise she would have never cried out to God! He has placed YOU in YOUR desert so you could cry out to God and so your dependency can be upon Him!
