When Abigail heard that David was coming with 400 men to kill her husband Nabal and the whole household, she not only made haste to meet David down the road with provisions for his army and to plead with him, but she ran TO her danger!!! She was not afraid, and she even told David the whole situation was her fault! She could have died as David was on a killing spree, and he clearly could have killed her because she took the blame for Nabal’s folly! In Matthew 15, a pagan, a Canaanite woman recognized Jesus and believed in Him as she cried out "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David!" in Matthew 15:21. She didn't only recognize Jesus when many of Jesus' own didn't recognize Him as the Messiah, but she believed... she TRUSTED Him as God who can help her!
