Enzo moments from our camping trip this past weekend 🏕️

1 - Posing in front of the tent after mom did all of the work putting it up while he acted like he was melting in the sun.
2 - Photo of him acting like he was melting in the sun. He “dug” a hole in the dirt to cool down in.
3 - We walked a mile of the property and he had to take about 15 breaks because… the sun.
4 - He decided we were just going to go home because… the sun. He waited by the car.
5 - Reheated pizza for lunch and suddenly he was very happy.
6 - Finally realizing that we’re staying and had just rolled around in the grass for a while.
7 - Golden hour photos, thanks to mom feeding him a bunch of blueberries.
8 - This photo required a handful of blueberries.
9 - Watching the sunset with mom.
10 - Laying as close to the campfire as possible after a full day of being upset about being hot.

It’s been 7 years since I got the news that Enzo (who was originally named Jupiter) was mine. I drove 16 hours to adopt him. It was my goal to train him as a therapy dog to go to nursing homes with me but he ended up being a reactive boy instead. He is the most challenging dog I’ve ever had but somehow loving him is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. We’ve been through a lot together and I know I was right about one thing - he is my best friend. 🫶
