This isn't going to stop Facebook from doing anything with the data you provide it, nor is it in any way enforceable by law. Nor a harmful scam, it's just annoying for everyone on your friends list. Save your time and the sanity of your friends and liked ones, just keep scrolling.

OK, so never mind that autism isn't fatal, as if it were I'd already be gone - this is a scam. They'll ask you to pay for postage, then once they get it it'll be radio silence. You're out the cost of postage with nothing to show for it.

If someone sends an image to you like this, it's a scam. No iPhone will ever ask for an iTunes gift card to activate it, for any amount.

The only road block you might hit is if it was registered against another iCloud account (or, if it's a corporate phone, a third party MDM) and wasn't removed.
