Now in its sixth year, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announces the return of its annual OWN For the Holidays programming event with three new holiday movies.

Celebrating the true meaning of the season by putting love, friends and family first, the movies are set to premiere over three consecutive Saturdays at 9:00pm ET/PT.

The first of the series premieres tonight, December 7, with A SEASON TO REMEMBER, starring Haitian-American, Michelle Weaver (Love Is) and Nathan Owens (9-1-1). After tonight, the movie is available on Max.

The film centers around sports reporter Symone Gibson (Weaver) who is ambitious and good at her job, but often has to navigate being a woman in a male-dominated field. She gets a crash course in how to be more assertive after teaming with freelance sports photographer Iggy Love (Nathan Owens) who knows a thing or two about going after what's really important in life. She has just a week before Christmas to find an attention-grabbing story that could take her career to the next level. With Iggy's assistance, Symone chases down a story and finds romance, courage and a new sense of direction along the way.

Today awarding-winning veteran of stage and screen, Kerry Washington, gained her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The star of the ABC's "Scandal" and upcoming Tyler Perry film, "The Six Triple Eight" (6888), was honored with the famous side walk's 2,796th star.

On hand to celebrate with her included husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, parents, Valerie & Earl Washington, Scandal creator and producer, Shonda Rhimes and writer and director of 6888, Tyler Perry.

6888 is based on the true story of a History magazine article, "Fighting a Two-Front War," by Kevin M. Hymel on the contributions of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, an all-black female squadron that served overseas during World War II.
Kerry plays Major Charity Adams, the commanding officer. The film will be released on Netflix December 20.
