Chris Pavey Mastering has developed over the last 8 years and I have been lucky enough to work with artists of all genres across the globe. The studio where I work is located in a quiet village, set in the rural surrounds of the Cambridgeshire Fens - the perfect place to master! Mastering is the final process in the long chain of audio production. Remember, you only have one first impression with

a piece of music, and a well mastered track will always make a positive impression that stands out in todays competitive music industry. A fresh pair of objective ears applying their input to your mix is never a negative move, and clients are always surprised on the details I can pick up on in their tracks. I’m not here to critique your music at all, i’m hear to make your music the best it can be! It’s about the music and using only whats required to make the best sound possible! Lastly, mastering is and always should be a two way conversation between engineer and artist, with both working towards the best sounding result.

It’s been a year with some difficult moments personally - but I can tell you that getting the honour of doing what I do each and everyday, year after year, and it being my job is just truly amazing. It’s just the best job in the world. Fact.

Blessings to you all, may all your Christmas’s be full of good health, merriment and joy ☺️🎄

(Long post incoming!) - 10 Years of … Crazy how time goes past so quickly. This anniversary album from Insight means a lot to me for a number of reasons, but it’s also reminded me that this September Chris Pavey Mastering will be 10 years old. Why? Well because I’ve been mastering for Insight since 2012, the year my mastering odyssey began😊. Stefan at Insight was one of my very first clients, and it’s such a privilege to be working with them to this day.

This album is the first reminder for me that I’m a decade into this business now, and I’ve been reflecting back the last few days on what has been an incredible 10 years.

I won’t lie, sometimes it’s been painful, hard, difficult, long nights/sleepless nights, set backs, struggles, frustrations… but it’s the love of this music that lands at my desk every day that’s put me where I am.

So… 10 years is coming up soon, maybe I’ll commission a cake or something 😂. 🥳🎂
