The Burson Audio Funk amplifier has an incredibly small chassis thanks to their power supply design, yet it still packs Class A headphone amp tech, along with up to 45 watts/ch of Class AB speaker amplification. Add in the fact you can swap the opamps for BOTH output stages separately, and you have a marvelous little amp. Starting at $544 USD, it's quite the package.
I used the Burson Funk to power some KEF Q150s with ease, creating a dynamic and wide near field setup for my desk. When I wanted to listen to something more intimately, my Hifiman HE1000s were a an absolute joy on this amp.

With stunning looks and sound quality, the HiFiMan Arya Stealth is a pinnacle Planar open-back headphone with the best detail retrieval I've heard in a sub-$2000 headphone. If you want a headphone that plays everything exceptionally well, the Arya Stealth magnet edition should be at the top of your list.
Some headphones boost treble to increase detail which can introduce harshness or shrill sounds to certain tracks. The Arya Stealth has an incredibly smooth, rich sound profile, without the treble boost. Instead they use Nanometer-thickness diaphragms to maximize transient speeds which provides incredible resolution and sonic accuracy without having to cheat the frequency response curve. The Denafrips Ares II DAC is special for a few reasons. For one, it does R2R properly and without compromise. This brings a more analog experience from your digital sources, making it sound more present and real. The Oversampling mode is selectable, as is the fast and sharp filters. The custom USB audio driver disabled Windows volume control, but is claimed to help with maximizing sound quality from a Windows-based USB connection.
