The TIDE Experiment The TIDE Experiment is a collective venture. Our main objective over 2013 is to release 4 films in 5 territories using Day-and-Date distribution models.

We will share examples of innovative distribution and results of the action on this page. Europe wants to experiment on new digital models of distribution. The TIDE Experiment is a response to this. For the last three years, this scheme releases films on Day-and-Date in several territories. By respecting territorial licensing and existing actors of the distribution chain, the project is meant to t

est and experiment innovative release strategies in Europe. Indeed, the TIDE Experiment is based on the collaboration of a critical mass of film industry professionals providing a solid operational framework, a genuine European think tank, and a truly representative sample of the European's Film Industry. A team of different and complementary companies in innovative film distribution are the engines of TIDE. Under The Milky Way, The Film Agency, The Festival Agency, Ipeda. TIDE also involves other partners: on one hand sales agents like Autlook, Premium Films and Fandango provide the film contents and on the other hand more than 40 distributors across Europe.
