All the way from Mexico, Tor.Ma in Dub has a sonic style that is filtered through psychedelic realms creating dub techno with a new trippy, hypnotic, bass driven and twisted interpretation of steppers dub.

The tracks make heavy use of a sound design effect inspired by "swarm intelligence" and "particle masses" which clone a segment of a sample and put those members into a "flock" that disperses in unified - sometimes stochastic - coordination.

"Dubmission has been the soundtrack of countless good times for me since I discovered their compilations in the late 90’s. “More Bass than Space” then became probably my most played CD of all time - tracks like ‘Baked Boanz’, ‘Jahmarama’, ‘We’re High’ and ‘Anchors in the Mist’ defined a whole era for me.

Later I was overjoyed when Nick Doof and I released our Third Ear Audio album on the label in 2008.

My selection here is a mixture of old and new tracks from the catalogue, specifically aimed at getting you out of your hammock and bopping on your feet!

Super Sentient is the second in Misled Convoy's new Black Mountain Transmissions series, which focuses on long-form atmospheric dubs recorded in a single key and with a consistent BPM.

Invited to perform in the After Dark tent at New Zealand’s Splore Festival, Mike designed a spatial quadrophonic show that was specifically intended for horizontal listening. Shortly afterwards he played at Super Sentient ambient festival, which gave him the opportunity to further develop the soundscapes.

Super Sentient is a distillation of those two quadrophonic shows into a single stereo work, finessing the energy of the live experience with the precision of the studio. Awash with cinematic flourishes, swooping synths snarl and soar over militant rhythms while melodies float on cavernous soundbeds before dissolving in to space.

Tor.Ma in Dub emerged from the psytrance movement around 2006, you can notice it in his sonic style: a kaleidoscopic montage of dub filtered through the psychedelic realms. This creates a new,
dark, trippy, hypnotic, bass-driven and twisted interpretation of steppers dub.

Had played at Sound Systems events together with dub masters as Indica Dubs, OBF, Ishiban, Digitaldubs, THK, Mad professor, Zion Train.

Come aboard, but come prepared — there is no turning back once this hallucinatory journey begins. Its like roots stepper dub with a psychedelic pinch.
