We had to rebuild our website a couple of years ago following a severe hack and it recently came to our attention that we missed adding back some of our eBooks to the website when we relaunched. We are slowly adding them back but before doing so, upgrading the formatting.

Two of those eBooks were uploaded today to the site:

The Dawn-Breakers - Nabil's extraordinary chronicle of the Baha'i Faith from the Declaration of the Báb to the death of Bahá’u’lláh in 1892.

The other eBook is the fourth and final collection of material prepared by Mr. 'Ali Nakhjavani and originally published by Casa Editrice Baha'i who (with Mr. Nakhjavani) graciously gave us permission to make the material available in the form of this eBook. We are slowly converting all our eBooks into PDFs and unlike other PDF versions that may be out there, all the table of contents and footnotes are fully linked.

We have uploaded the revised version of Revelation & Social Reality by Paul Lample that had been delayed due to many errors with the linking of footnotes. Hopefully now it is correct. So this is version 2.0 and despite many efforts to ensure the text is correct, we are only human and there still may be some errors. The PDF version that has been added is also fully linked. We have added three eBooks on the Hands of the Cause of God, originally published in print form by the Bahá’í Literature & Publication Trust of India. Volume 1 tells the stories of Amelia Collins, Dorothy Baker, and Tarázu’lláh Samandarí; Volume II covers the lives of Martha Root, Dr. Rahmatu’lláh Muhájir, and Enoch Olinga and Volume III explores the lives of Louis Gregory, Corinne True, and Abul-Qásim Faizi.

We have received a number of requests to provide PDF versions of our eBooks and we are slowly adding this format to the options available for eBooks on our site. Some of the conversions will take some time particularly if the eBook has a large number of footnotes. As with our epub and mobi formats, the links inside the eBooks such as chapters and footnotes should work subject to the options of the PDF software you use.

Like most of humanity, we have been appalled by the suffering of so many of our brothers and sisters because of racism, nationalism, gender inequality, religious intolerance, the disparity between the rich and the poor, all because of a view that some group is better or inferior to others. And this has culminated in health inequalities highlighted by covid, climate change leading to catastrophic losses and the view that one person, one country can determine who should live or die. Humanity is on the brink of destruction all because of our failure to accept that we are equal in the sight of God, nobody is better or worse than anybody else.

During March and April, we are making available a series of books that provide material in addition to what is already available, for the study of these topics.

So far, we have added three eBooks to our catalogue: the eBook Advancement of Women was launched earlier this month. Today we added Crisis and Victory and Justice, Unity and Peace. Unity and Peace is unattainable unless and until racism is eliminated and there is acknowledgement of the equality of all of humanity with justice for all.

This eBook includes all key messages of the House of Justice including the announcement of the One Year Plan, the Riḍván Message of 2021, the messages and tributes shared on the occasion of the centenary of the passing of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, the messages to the Counsellors Conference 2021 including the training materials for the Nine Year Plan and the message to the Auxiliary Board Members in 2022 and the report of the Counsellors Conferece. This eBook will be updated as new messages are shared.

Additional Prayers and Tablets of Bahá’u’lláh has an additional 13 Tablets or Extracts of Tablets from Bahá’u’lláh. These are new translations recently made available by the Bahá’í World Centre.

The Promulgation of Universal Peace has been revised to add a missing transcript of a talk given by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá at Coronation Hall in Montreal on 3 September 1912.

'Abdu'l-Bahá - The Mystery of God

This eBook has just been added. It is a compilation of 13 articles written over the past 100 years which have been included in a Special Collection published by The Baha'i World to commemorate the centenary of the passing of 'Abdu'l-Baha. In addition to the seminal works written by Shoghi Effendi, George Townshend and Amin Banani, five articles were specially commissioned this year written by Amin Egea, Kathryn Jewett Hogenson, Robert Weinberg, Reed Breneman, Hoda Mahmoudi and Janet Khan. And then there are the personal memoirs written by Aziz Yazdi, Ruth Moffett and Lady Blomfield.

We launched on 6 December 2009 and there were three of us, all Australians. Then there were some other changes and another friend, Shahin Sobhani, not an Australian [but we didn't hold that against him], joined our team. His tech company supported the website for many years and we are truly thankful for what he and his team did behind the scenes for nearly a decade but the challenges of the website and the platform we used meant that we had to seek high level support which is where the team behind Bahai Teachings came to our rescue.

These last 18 months have been challenging and sometimes it felt the tests were too much but now that we have passed through them, we look and see that without those challenges we would not have developed such a secure website and left behind what seemed like a sound platform for about a decade.

We feel confident that we now have an initiative that can move forward and provide more materials in more and more languages. We are working with Publishing Trusts and other agencies to do this. Keep checking on us over the next months as there are some exciting developments ahead.

Our newly rebuilt website is a breeze to use. We have dropdown options to sort the eBooks by Collection (default), Updated (most recently revised or newly added) or by Title (alphabetical). Then each book has links to either epub or mobi (primarily for kindle users).

If you are using any Apple device, you can now download using other browsers and not just Safari. If you download to an Apple device in the mobi format and you are using any iOS version post 13, then you need to check Files to see your downloaded eBook and then choose the option to Send to Kindle as the option to Copy to Kindle has been removed by Apple.

For all other users, downloading should be simple.

Framework for Action: Selected Messages of the Universal House of Justice 2006 - 2016

This is the latest in a series of eBooks of Selected Messages of the Universal House of Justice. To complete the series, we revised the eBook Selected Messages of the Universal House of Justice 1963 -1988 and took it to 1995. Much of the guidance provided by the Universal House of Justice to the Bahá’í world in the first decade after 1996 was captured in the book Turning Point. This volume, Framework for Action, organized in much the same way, covers the past decade from 2006-2016. Its three parts include messages from the House of Justice, letters written on its behalf, and supplementary materials.
