We had the pleasure of having Rev. Steve Terry, Second Timothy Missionary Baptist Church as our guest speaker for our Men's Service this morning entitled: The True Vine!" and what a powerful Word!

His scripture Reading: John 15:1-6 – KJV:
15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.”

He provided additional "BACKGROUND SCRIPTURES":

Psalm 80:8-9 KJV - 8 Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. 9 Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.”

Isaiah 5:1-2 & 7 KJV: “Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: 2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. - 7: For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.”

Jeremiah 2:21- KJV: 21 “Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?”

Galatians 2:20 – KJV: 20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Philippians 4:13-KJV: “13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

The concert theme song is entitled "My Everything" and it says:
" If I lost everything and didn't have anything, and you were the only thing, I'd still have everything.
" Lord it's you, My Everything-I still have everything!

Because over the last few years some of us has lost everything (loved ones, church closed, our jobs, our homes/cars, life as normal, our peace, our faith in God, walked away from God, no longer committed to a ministry, walking in fear, not trusting him or anyone etc.). So, for some of us the word "if" turned into " When I lost everything and I didn't have anything but Lord you were the only thing and yet I still had everything. Because Lord it was you my everything and we're coming together for this evening of praise and fellowship! just to say thank you!

ATTENTION ALL PASTORS/CLERGY, CHURCH AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, ETC.
The bible reminds us in Hosea 4:6-7: KJV: " My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
Let us STEP UP/GET BACK UP and find out how we can be of assistance to those who are/were lost and trying to find their way back to be all that they were designed to be. Let us care enough to come out and/or send a representative to educate ourselves. So, that we can equip them with the necessary tools that they will need to turn their lives around and become productive citizens

In late fall of 2017, the Mitchell family and I decided to host a Birthday Brunch for "Al" that was scheduled to be on Saturday, January 20, 2018 @ 3pm. But instead of celebrating his birthday on Jan 20th, we were celebrating his life at his home going service after God called him home on Wed, January 17th.

I can't believe that this time six years ago, I couldn't breathe and didn't want to leave home and prepare to go to the church. Because I knew that I was coming back home without my husband, my friend, the love of my life, my greatest supporter, my mouth when I had no words, the reason why I got up in morning and was honored to lay down at night, after caring for him during the worst but good days of his life!

At his service, God told me to speak to couples, that was sure it was God that put them together, that might be going through, some difficulties in their marriage. God told me to tell them 2 simple words "Fix It"! Because the advantage that they had that Al and I no longer had, was time! Time to be together, time to love on one another, time to laugh together, to travels together, dinner, movies, etc.

So, I am saying the same thing to you my brothers and my sisters! If there's something that is not resolved! Please do so while you yet have time to "FIX IT" in Jesus name! - Fix-it, while you yet have time!

So, my sweetheart (Bro. Albert Leroy Mitchell, Jr), continue to rest in the arms of Lord and I will continue with the assignment(s) that you and God have given unto me to do, Because we made sure we fixed it!
