あと１ヶ月ほどに迫ってきました、10/15日曜日のb-flower京都ワンマンライブです。なるべく多くの方に見にきていただけるよう、4時半オープン、ライブ開始5時とかなり早めの設定です。

京都クラブメトロはその名の通り地下鉄駅構内にあって、電車で行きやすい場所にあります。昔からあるので、懐かしい方もたくさんいるだろうなー^^ 行ったことない方、この伝説のクラブに足を運ぶ良い機会です。現存するクラブでは日本で一番古いそうですよ。なんかb-flowerの「現存する一番古いネオアコバンド」と一緒やん笑

京都駅からJRで東福寺、そこで京阪線に乗り換えて神宮丸太町の２番出口階段途中にエントランスがあります。京都駅から30分弱。新幹線でしたらかなりの広範囲で日帰りできると思います。または元気な方は京都駅からの夜行バスもあります！
大阪方面にも電車で1時間程度です。

もちろん当日泊、前泊で秋の京都を楽しまれるのもいいですね！
その場合は１日でも早い予約をおすすめします。ハンパない混み具合だと思うのでー

これ前回も言いましたけど、b-flowerはいつが最後のライブになるかわかりません。でも懐メロ大会でもないです。いつまでも蒼く全力投球のライブをぜひお見逃しなく、しゅがふろが強くおすすめします！

b-flower announced their forthcoming live date - 15 October at Kyoto Club Metro - the first solo gig in 8 years. This will be big!

先週土曜の八野ツイキャスで発表ありましたが、b-flowerライブやります〜秋の京都10/15日曜日にメトロです！前回デボネアとの対バンも楽しかったけど、今回は完全にソロライブなのでじっくり聴いてもらえます。日曜ということもありお泊まりできない遠征ファンのためにも開演時間を5時あたりにして、新幹線や夜行バスで帰れる範囲を広げてひとりでも多くの方に見に来てもらえるような企画になりそうです。

今週土曜になんと60歳になる八野さん、ツイキャスでは還暦ネタで脅しをかけてましたが笑、これは見とかないと次があるかわかんないですマジで。まあbはどのライブも次があるのか不安はつきものなんですけど10月はソロなんで、これはかなり特別やと思います。まだまだ詳細は決まってないですけど日にちだけは動かないのでぜひ押さえといてくださいね。10/15日曜日です。

THE ORCHIDS on Bandcamp Friday

Need I say more? Well just in case I do, tomorrow is Bandcamp Friday (Dec 2) – and we’re more than a little excited to finally be able to released The Orchids two session for John Peel, lovingly compiled on ten-inch vinyl, each with a set of postcards and downloads. Get the bundle for both as it's a bit cheaper Precious Recordings of London Bandcamp page.

The first session, from 1990, features a cracking version of live favourite ‘Caveman’ (better than the Lyceum version, how the band wanted it!) and two others destined to end up on their Unholy Soul album – plus one song never properly released at all.

Session #2 comes four years later, after they’d started phoning in Scottish football reports to Peel. Two of these songs were never released at the time, though one came out as a demo about 25 years later (the shoulda-been-single ‘Patience Is Mine’) – and the other two were very different on Striving For The Lazy Perfection.

They sound fab – and they don’t look so shabby either, even if I do say so myself. Which clearly I do.

I’ve never been much good at the sales pitch but get in quickly because I’m fairly hopeful these ones will sell out. Only 500 of each and no repress. (And while you’re at, you might also consider their brilliant new LP Dreaming Kind on the luvverly SkepWax.)

Now, finally, while I’ve commandeered your full attention, don’t forget we have four brilliant Soup Dragons ten-inchers still available – and then, of course, there’s Boyracer, all ready to be sent out for Xmas … now go out and get ’em boy, as someone once opined.

b-flower's Tokyo gig last Saturday with Debonaire was a phenomenal success, lots of photos and enthusiastic Japanese tweets can be found on Twitter, search if interested :) Also their Yatsui Festival appearance the next day attracted over 1700 streaming viewers alone. Wow. They played "My Phantasmic Glider" from our Birth of the True comp. album, as we were watching online. And Hachino can still sing it beautifully as he did in 1992. What a treat!😍

デボネアとb-flowerの東京遠征がいよいよ今週土曜！しかも前売がたった3500円って、これでちゃんとみんなの交通費出てギャラも出るんやろか？東京近郊でまだ迷ってる方、行った方がいいです！この２バンドで東京ってこんな機会もうないかもしれないし絶対見といた方がいいよ。遠くの方は、一晩泊まれば次の日にまたやついフェスで続けて見れる！こんなチャンスもあまりないかもね。

そして感染症対策はきっちり怠らずに。私も大阪では物販もしたのでしっかりしたマスクと手指消毒液も持参しました。その後２週間で検査３回陰性パス、大丈夫でした😊

短期帰国した際に京都の鴨川べりで八野さんの写真撮影をさせていただきました。雨の予報で八野さんは傘を持って来てはったけど、なんとか降る前に終了。なんかの折に使ってもらえたらうれしいですね。この1枚は八野さんのiPhoneで撮ったものです。

✈️Back from Japan after seeing b-flower playing with Debonaire. Wow. Pity I couldn't stay on for their next gigs in Tokyo (18+19 June), but it won't be the last!
🍀b-flower大阪ライブは２番手だったのでアンコールなし、短かった！でもこの機会に行ってよかったです。なんか、お客さんとして初めてステージを見上げることになったんですけど全然、初めてとかそういう感覚はなかったです。デボネアのメンバーと35年ぶりの再会もよかった^^最初のアノラックパーティに出演してくれた彼ら、そのまま小山田くんとの交流も続いてたなんてびっくりです。

5月3日の八野ツイキャス見逃した方はこちらでアーカイブ見れますよ！キャス中に「あっこちゃんがbライブ見るの実は初めて」という話題もありましたが、それは本当にそうなので私もすごい楽しみにしてます😄デボネアもアノラックパーティー以来やし。

b-flower八野英史さんのヒストリーシリーズのツイキャス、最新のアーカイブ出てます。アルバムWorld's End Laundryの最終章、しゅがふろの二人とピュアのグレアムが遊びに行ったオックスフォードのマナースタジオでのスナップ写真を見ながらのエピソードとか、興味深かったです。グレアム君のスナップもあり☺️
マナースタジオはb-flowerの使った確か翌年にその歴史を閉じましたが、かのヴァージンの御大リチャードブランソン所有で、今ちょっとWiki見てみたら、あのマイクオールドフィールドのチューブラー・ベルズのレコーディングされたところらしいです。うわ。スタジオに少し入らせてもらった時にはそこまでの歴史を知らなかったですがー。
