“The ‘four horsemen of the apocalypse’ that tend to predict divorce were all evident in their marriage—criticism, contempt, stonewalling, and defensiveness. Somehow their presence, mixed with the murder/suicide question, left me pondering how our relationships mirror what’s inside us.”

They both speak English at home, calling it a compromise in one of their fights. On their better days, I wonder if it was also a reminder of the place they met and fell in love, England. When I work with couples, I like to start with the

“The more I healed myself, the more I started to become conflicted in my role as a nurse, giving out medication in the hospital, yet at home, I was no longer using them. I wasn’t managing the stress of the conflict well and just before I was 50, I spiralled into a deep depression with suicidal thoughts.”

I started writing about my own natural healing to help others to see it is possible to heal ourselves naturally without medications. I realised that I needed to expand my writing to include many people’s healing from a range of conditions.

“Scotty’s jump replayed in my head on loop. As the details came out in the news, I saw the dark, cold night he was in. I saw his car with the door open and the key in the ignition just sitting there alone and vacant amongst the buzz of NY bridge traffic. I could see the tears in his eyes and hear the despair and helplessness in his voice as he called my Aunt Marion before the jump. I see Scotty’s tall frame jumping feet first 142 feet in the air.”

And I trust that he is free. I envision him singing and dancing with the angels, loving freely without worry or judgement, and I know that he blesses us here on Earth by sending signs.

“The journey from survivor to healer was not without its challenges. It still requires me to continuously confront my own triggers and vulnerabilities while holding space for others to do the same. It demands a level of empathy and compassion that could only arise from walking such a challenging path.”

My story is one of evolution—from a survivor buried beneath layers of pain to a healer who embraces both light and shadow with open arms.

here’s what you should know: the consequences of fast fashion come back to bite all of us as invisible silent killers.

We’re just too darn busy and worried about our own lives to give a damn about a polar bear starving because he only has an ice cube to float on. But here’s what you should know: the consequences of fast fashion come back to bite all

“I’ve realised that there is nothing wrong or bad about being lost or clueless. In fact, it’s a part of growing up and evolving as a human being.”

You don't find yourself by fighting with yourself or the world around you. You do that by dropping all fights, accepting yourself for who you are in this moment, and allowing your inner wisdom to unfold at its own pace.

“TCM believes that the lungs tend to store grief and depression. To release the suppressed negative energy from those emotions, take the following steps:”

As you try this exercise, relaxed and focused on your body’s sensations, you may find old memories and emotions bubbling up. You may become queasy, begin to cry, or break out in a rash.

“We keep splitting our growth into months. The moment when the clock hits midnight on New Year’s Eve, we instantly put behind us everything we have learned and worked for. That is so damn wrong.”

We all want to make the new year better, I know. I understand the excitement and joy that January brings, but

“Redirections and changes are not things going wrong, whether it looks like moments of heartbreak or loss, but instead, the stars aligning to help you grow more deeply so that you can live and love more fully. There is gratitude to be held within realizing that everything that has happened has been leading you to this moment so that you might finally see what was there all along.”

But to know what is meant for you, you also must know who you are. And this is where Pluto in Capricorn has been diligently chipping away all that isn’t so that you can free yourself from what actually never fit.

“I now love myself, probably for the first time in my adult life. I live on my own, have a job I love, and I am content. There is no void to fill. I know what I like, who I am, and what I want my life to be.”

I now love myself, probably for the first time in my adult life. I live on my own, have a job I love, and I am content. There is no void to fill.

“Grief is a journey we must all walk at some point in our life. Everyone will be touched. Some sooner than others, but we are all here on this journey together. And as you begin to wander with your grief, you will find you are able to love even more deeply.”

Wandering with my grief has been a gateway back home to my heart.

“5. Heal the past. Healing trauma and negative experience will vastly improve the way in which we look at ourselves and others we come into contact with. Perhaps we’ve been severely wounded and we look at others as if their life seems ‘easier’ and can possibly feel jealous for our hardships when they seem to have little to none.”

Jealousy occurs as a result of someone owning or embodying something or a quality we want. We may also feel jealous if we haven’t achieved a kind of

“A regular customer to our little stand stopped by to give me a slice of Salvadoran pizza. She had just tried it at another booth and knew I would love it. She had heard my tales of woe about needing to eat healthier and this was a gluten-free, vegan slice with fresh vegetables and herbs. I was so touched that she remembered our conversation and made this kind gesture.”

A regular customer to our little stand stopped by to give me a slice of Salvadoran pizza.

"How do we go back to our suppressed childhood memories and help the inner child forgive those who made them feel bad? We do it through their innate feelings of compassion. We help our inner child understand that adults carry pain from their unhealed childhood."

It seems to be common sense for most people that forgiving others is for our own healing and has nothing to do with the person we are forgiving. Although this may be true,

2. People will not understand us.

When our boundaries become well-defined and we no longer allow people to do as they please with us, people might not like it.

“I’m slowly beginning to understand that when life knocks me down, I need to get back up. If I stay down, that’s on me—not life. We usually keep ourselves down by indulging in toxic and destructive behaviors that sabotage our happiness. If we want to be genuinely happy, we seriously need to get out of our own way. Here are seven warning signs you might be sabotaging your own life and happiness:”

7. Seeking approval and validation.

“How is it okay that in one corner a young child is waking up to pancakes and running around her dog on a big terrace with the sun in her face and in another corner a young child is stuck in the arms of a dead body under rubble in freezing conditions? It just doesn’t make sense.”

I don’t see it. I don’t see God. I don’t see faith and belief. And I know it’s mother nature, but how can it be so cruel?

“I wasn’t actually living and experiencing my life. I wasn’t present in my relationships. I was critical, bossy, and boring. Sure my ego liked that I was getting the to-do list done, but after that dopamine hit wore off my heart felt heavy and sad. I was being everything to everyone and no one to myself. Why did I have to watch on the sidelines? I wanted to be a part of it so badly. I wanted to have fun and enjoy my children whilst they were still young. I wanted to be the fun Mum. I wanted to be a calm, content wife and worthy woman. But who would do it all—the washing, cleaning, cooking, buying what everyone needs?”

I wasn’t actually living and experiencing my life. I wasn't present in my relationships.

“Celiac forces us to narrow our options, making us more mindful of our food choices. I had to cut out a significant amount of foods and gluten-containing products. I did the same with dating options.”

As I began taking better care of myself and feeling healthier than I had in a long time, I realized that Celiac didn’t make me a less attractive partner.

This is the biggest red flag we should watch out for in relationships:

Action will always reveal someone’s true character when their words make you second-guess yourself.
