WHAT DO WE ACTUALLY DO? – Christ has called Davidical Arts Music Group to gather together creative hip-hop artists that have been either rejected or have moved away from “the existing music system” to equip and build them up together into a new tribe of people in Christ to be leaders in the Five Fold Hip-Hop Ministry for the purpose of bringing the ARK (an Authentic Relationship with the KING and His Praise, His Purpose, His Principles, His Pattern, His Purity, His People, His Power, His Provision, and His Presence) of the Father back to the restored Davidical Tabernacle (the Body of Christ), the music ministry, the music industry, and the hip-hop culture imparting faith, hope, and LOVE using our artistic anointing in the process. OUR MANDATE – We believe that God is calling YOU to be a leader in the music industry. What kind of leader? Perhaps the five He’s already listed in His Word. Such as a music business entrepreneurial apostle like King David, a creative voice and poetic authority as a prophet like Jeduthun/Ethan, a music teacher and instructor like Chenaniah, an artist manager type of pastor like Heman, and a music marketer or promoting evangelist like Asaph to function in the hip-hop ministry, industry, and culture. That’s why I am here. I’m looking to build a network of hip-hop leaders who want to make the necessary change and difference that God wants so that He might be glorified to you, in you, through you, and as you to others in your holy hip-hop ministry or business. OUR TEXTS – "And David [the APOSTLE] spake to the chief of the Levites to APPOINTED [Heb: 'confirm, establish, appoint, ORDAIN'] their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy. So the Levites APPOINTED ... the singers [minstrels], Heman [the PASTOR], Asaph [the EVANGELIST], and Ethan [also called Jeduthun the PROPHET], were APPOINTED to sound with cymbals of brass; and Chenaniah [the TEACHER], chief of the Levites, was for song ..." (1st Chronicles 15:16-17, 19, 22). "It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were AS ONE, to make ONE SOUND to be heard in PRAISING AND THANKING THE LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments OF MUSIC, AND PRAISED THE LORD, saying, For He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud [glory of the Lord], even the house [symbolic for the Church--the Body of Christ] of the LORD." (2nd Chronicles 5:13). "And the priests waited on their [five fold music] offices: the Levites also with instruments OF MUSIC OF THE LORD, which David the king [symbolic for a type of apostle] HAD MADE TO PRAISE THE LORD, because His mercy endureth for ever [Heb: 'for the eon, for the ages'], when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood." (2nd Chronicles 7:6). "And He [Jesus] gave some Apostles [like David who 'spake to the chief of the Levites to APPOINTED (Heb: 'confirm, establish, appoint, ORDAIN') their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy']; and ['So the Levites APPOINTED ... the singers (minstrels)'] some, Prophets [like 'Ethan (also called Jeduthun the PROPHET), WERE APPOINTED TO SOUND with cymbals of brass']; and some, Evangelists [like 'Asaph (the EVANGELIST)']; and some, Pastors [like 'Heman (the PASTOR)'] and Teachers [like 'Chenaniah (the TEACHER), chief of the Levites, was for song']; FOR THE PERFECTING [Gk: 'completing, maturing'] OF THE SAINTS, FOR THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY [ministry, music (for the work of music/praise and worship), leadership, and business], FOR THE EDIFYING [Gk: 'building up'] OF THE BODY OF CHRIST [the Spiritual Temple of God (Tabernacle of David/Solomon’s Temple)]. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful [Apostolic], and multiply [Prophetic], and replenish the earth [Evangelistic], and subdue it [Pastoral]: and have dominion over [Teaching] … every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Ephesians 4:11-12, Genesis 1:26-28, 1st Chronicles 15:16-17, 19, 22). WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO? We believe artists need to be more creative, use more of God's wisdom, and use more of the anointing of the Spirit to increase their talents and skills so that Hip-Hop can truly glorify the Father God through Worship! We believe that music (no matter the genre) was created by God first for worship directed towards Him. It is not first for teaching or preaching the Gospel or even to reach the lost in the culture. All things are created by Christ and FOR Christ according to Colossians 1:16-17. Worshipping the Father and Glorifying the Father are primary purposes for Hip-Hop music. One is DIRECTED TO GOD (worship) and the other is more representing God TO OTHERS (glorifying). Every other use of hip-hop or any other music style of genre is secondary. We believe in the restoration of the Five Fold Ministry Leadership Gifts and that they should also be recognized in the Hip-Hop Ministry and Music Business by identifying, recruiting, training, equipping, empowering, and releasing artists that will influence, impact, and inspire the Music Industry all together. We believe in helping the rejected and new artists get established by aiding them to find out who they really are in Christ and getting them in front of their GOD-ordained target audience. We believe that if you make great music with great lyrics and great beats you give great people greater options to choose what to buy rather than buying the one pop (popular, trendy) bandwagon sound that's currently out. We believe that good music is by definition uplifting, encouraging, edifying, challenging, honest, pure, joyful, peaceable, easy to be entreated, creative, innovative, anointed, is God inspired, full of wisdom, full of mercy, full of good fruits, without partiality, without hypocrisy, and that any music produced and put out by us should be able to sit along side any Psalm or song in the Holy Scriptures. And that if a song or album or single or whatever cannot in good conscious sit in the Bible with the other songs that it should be scraped, not even to appear on a mixtape.
