Woody Fox, Giant Willow Snail, made with willow grown on a Somerset farm (South West England). This Giant Snail is over two metres high and made with various colours of willow and finally varnished to give that slimey feel. Woody Fox is a willow sculptor, living in North Devon. He works mostly to commission and makes all outdoor sculptures on a steel frame. Then the artist weaves the willow into the frame and over it to become as dense as possible and to play with the willow to the make muscletone shine through. He likes to make his sculptures as animated as possible.
