Ever wondered how I make Rave Podcast episodes?
I've recorded an unfiltered, behind-the-scenes video that’s nearly 1.5 hours long, giving you a complete look at my process from start to finish.

Whoa, Bristol, what a night! Massive thanks to such a lovely crowd, and to John 00 Fleming and Amplify Events for making it happen and amazing music ❤️🙏
Track ID is an upcoming release from Dreamcast coming out soon on Forescape Digital which I played as a closing track in my set. What a tune, so dreamy and emotional!
I’m starting a new video series on YouTube!
I have a short but exciting announcement today: I’m starting a video blog!
The plan is the following: every two weeks or so I will record videos with my thoughts and advice on DJing, production, labels, and other topics related to music and beyond. It’s like advice series (https://dsokolovskiy.com/advice/) but in video format. It aims toward DJs and producers mainly, although it might be interesting for regular listeners and everyone who enjoys electronic dance music in general as well, you know, like behind the scenes.
I will be uploading these videos on YouTube, so the key message of this post is to subscribe to my channel, and there will be some useful content soon.
And here’s a teaser.
Уes, the videos will be in English. To be honest, my English is not so good, but I want the videos to be helpful to a wider audience. YouTube is pretty good at translating subtitles, so you can watch it even if you don’t know English.
In general, I usually pay a lot of attention to the quality: how the picture looks, how you can hear the audio, what’s in the frame, what’s with my facial expression, and, of course, what accent I pronounce it all. Some of you may even remember my first attempt at a video blog in 2017, but back then it was too big of a challenge for a perfectionist introvert person like me. I mean, the idea of a video blog is not new to me, but there was no way to turn it into action. And now I realized that I just need to start doing it anyway, even by shooting it on my phone: sometimes something that is not so perfect is better than nothing.
Anyway, please subscribe to the channel, hit the notification bell, and all that. I’ll be glad to have your support.

The album is complete! Announcement and teaser
Half year ago I announced my second album production. And today, I'm totally delighted to say that the album is complete!
It's a full-length album with eight previously unreleased brand new tracks and one remix. The album will be released on my home label, Digital Om Productions, in early 2017 — in few months from now. And just in few weeks I'll start sharing the album's title, cover artworks, and course audio previews.
Being an introvert person I hate doing public appearances, but for this occasion I've recorded a video announcement with short teaser. Watch this space for upcoming previews!
Second album work in progress
Some madness in the studio! Here's a little taste of a new work-in-progress track from my second forthcoming album. What's your thoughts on this?
Studio session - ID (2016 Mix)
Here are some fresh moments straight from the studio. This one is a '2016 Mix' of one of the tracks from myself that will be released soon along with some fantastic remixes (more about that later). In the meantime, have you recognized the track? How do you like the vibe?
Recording lead's progression automation
Although I'm totally a "software-guy" whose entire studio fits inside the computer (on a contrast with those who surrounded by millions of hardware pieces of gear), I still love to record automation on a MIDI-controller using my hands and fingers rather than clicking the mouse. That's how I do it.
