Here's one of the Fire Island tapes.

When we got them transfered, it was evident that the fade at the end of the 7" version was created at the original vinyl cut, probably by hand. The actual recording carries on with an abrupt ending.

We are using the full non fade versions for our release.

We've notified Beggars Banquet of the issue and they are deciding whether to replicate the original fade or use the abrupt ending of our masters for their future digital release.

We hope you're liking these little facts :)

ANNOUNCEMENT!

Our first 100 preorders are in.
Sadly no more badges available, HOWEVER...

We can now announce that every CD shall have a Japanese style obi strip attached.

These will be numbered.

The lowest numbers shall be allocated to band and family, and then allocated by how early you ordered.

This CD and obi are limited to 500.
No more will be pressed.

So, the poll for which T shirt to print surprised us a little. In a good way.

Thankyou to everyone who voted, we're hoping you all buy a T Shirt bundle as we are going to make available BOTH T Shirts as a bundle... So you can choose either colour and any size between Small and ###L along with the CD... The pre order for the Bundle shall open on the same day, 1st September, BUT will close on 15th September, so you'll have two weeks to order that Bundle. After that, NO more T Shirts will be available or printed.
You can order more than one bundle if you want both versions, but it will mean you have a CD with each T Shirt. The T Shirt sizing leans more towards U.S. sizing, ie that little bit bigger. They shall be Gildan Heavy Cotton Ts. All screen printed in Scotland.

Hoping that makes sense.

We shall also be popping in to the first 100 orders a small Secession pin badge as a thankyou. Only 100 being made. First come first served.

As well as the tracks you are familiar with, we cant wait for your to hear the demos and early versions... quite different, in a very cool way.

After speaking to Charlie Kelly of the band recently it was evident how influential Blue Monday was on them. These recordings are just after New Order released it. Secession are basically using the same brands synths and drum machines as New Order did.

The CD booklet will have 12 pages. Attached are pages 1 and 12 :)

We are rather excited to tell you we have gained the licence to release the early Beggars Banquet singles by the Scottish band Secession.

One was mixed by John Rocca (FREEEZ), the other produced by him.

Even more exciting is we've discovered what appears to be a fully mixed down proposed single which was never released and a whole load of unreleased demos and mixes.

The tapes are currently being transferred and once all in place, we'll let you know and put up a pre order.

This will be a CD only release with the potential to do a vinyl release of some sort in the future.
