The year, 2011 marks 25 years since Boom Crash Opera( BCO) exploded onto the Australian music scene with the release o

f their debut hit single "Great Wall". The single went top 5 on the ARIA chart in 1986 & was soon followed with another ARIA chart busting hit "Hands Up In The Air". The much anticipated self titled debut album was released the following year (1987). The album reached gold sale s...tatus & cemented Boom Crash Opera in Australian music history. Their 2nd album "These Here Are Crazy Times" is the bands most iconic album. It reached double platinum sales & includes ARIA top 10 and 20 hits such as "Onion Skin", "Get Out Of The House", "Talk About It", "The Best Thing" & "Dancing In The Storm". "These Here Are Crazy Times" spent more than 12 months in the Australian National Top 40. BCO's Australian music history status was not only cemented but now fortified with the scarce music metal platinum. It was "These Here Are Crazy Times" that would prove to be BCO's most successful on the International stage. BCO caught the eye & ear of legendary producer Jimmy Iovine & 2 tracks ("The Best Thing" & "Talk About It") from the album were re-recorded for the U.S release. With that accomplished the 1st single ("Onion Skin") was released for the extremely competitive U.S market. "Onion Skin" reached #5 on the Billbourd Alternative Chart & #8 on the Billbourd Modern Rock Chart. BCO had well & truely achieved their much deserved International recognition. In 1990, about a year after the band released "These Here Are Crazy Times" they released an album called Look! It contained extended mixes from the self titled debut as well as extended mixes from releases to date from "These Here Are Crazy Times". The CD also included previously unreleased tracks "Off To Sea" & "Rocks Are In My Head". In 1991 BCO released an EP titled "Dreams On Fire". The song "Holy Water" would be the next single that the band released. For their 3rd studio album "Fabulous Beast", BCO temporarily relocated to Los Angeles (LA). During recording BCO found themselves impacted by the 1992 L.A riots. The ballad "The Last Place On Earth" is inspired by this event & appears on the album. Fabulous Beast was released in 1993 & reached the Top 15 on the national charts. The 1st single release from Fabulous Beast was the feelgood song "Bettadaze" followed by "In The Morning", & "This Isn't Love".
