JOGOO ROAD POLICE STATION.

SUBJECT:SHOOTING/DEATH OF A POLICE OFFICER INCIDENT REPORT.

The same occurred today 13/06/2024 at 13.45 hrs within Makadara law courts Map reference 573615 about 1km south west of the station and reported vide ob no. 45/13/6/2024 at 1450hrs bythe OC Law courts that a presiding magistrate P.M Kivuti had been shot on the left hip.

The OCS Jogoo and team rushed to the scene and establiahed that it was alleged that a police officer identified as no. 235435 C.I Samson Kipchirchir Kipruto OCS Londiani aged 55 years whose wife one Jenniffer Wairimu 48 years was an accused in a case of obtaining money by false pretence amounting to Ksh.2.9 million.

His wife had pleaded to be released out on cashbail but the court did not grant. He entered inside the court through the magistrates door and fired shots towards the magistrate injuring her on the chest and left hip.

He was countered and fatally shot by a fellow officer who was in the court. In the process three officers were injured, 1. No. 118817 PC Augustine Michael Kithumbi who was injured on the left eye , 2. No. 232032 PC (w) Maureen Lepes sustained a gun shot in the left leg amd 3. 240750 PC Eunice Macharia who sustained an injury on the left hand.

All the injured were rushed to hospital in stable condition. A jericho pistol was recovered at the scene, scene processed by CSI team from Buruburu and body of the deceased officer moved to city mortuary awaiting autopsy. DCI Buruburu dealing. Progress report to follow.
