I am mere weeks away from completing Principal Animation on my feature and so far it looks like I will meet the goal of finishing right before Christmas 2022. After the Holidays, I begin the process of combining all of the editing sequences into a single timeline. I will watch the entire movie in one sitting while taking notes and then I move on to animating and adding any pickups to flesh out the storyline similar to what live action filmmakers do. After I complete that process the usual voiceovers/narration, sound design and finally music begins--in that order with the understanding that my voiceovers and narration tracks are simply temp tracks for the buyers' A-list actors to replace. I do hope they keep the music as it is orchestral.
I want to emphasize again that I am not releasing any stills or video from the movie because there are many unique models and environments that must be protected from unscrupulous actors who would take my concepts and make them their own such as what you find on Deviant art and other websites. To protect this project for the eventual buyer I am even going so far as to not send out ANY screener's or entering any film festivals--that I am leaving to the studio who picks up my movie as I have no intentions of telling them how to market their movie.
All my buyer screening are by invitation only so as to protect further the new owners IP from theft. Crazy world we live in. Once the movie is sold I will be posting images once the theft issue is behind us.
Remember, this is not your typical live action indie movie I'm delivering. It is instead an animated feature and Sceneamation Movie Studios is in full production on a daily basis. If anyone is interested I can share the editing timeline so that you can see the volume of work that has gone into the many, many years of production.
I will share this--to give you a sense of what it takes to make an animated feature realize that every detail in a single frame of animation has to be created from script to screen. Also, consider that there are 24 frames for every SECOND of footage that is edited together and you'll understand that animated features are sold based upon how many finished seconds/minutes. (at over seven figures a minute)
There have been weeks where no footage was created, weeks where I have added ten minutes to the editing timeline and weeks where I personally have animated one second of animation alone. That may not sound like much but believe me, it's quite an achievement when you consider what the "old men" used to crank out for Walt.
And I won't even begin to detail the time I spent creating textures, or the lighting which is an art form in itself.
Well, that's all for this update. Sorry it's been so long since the last one but the adage of a 'one legged man' comes to mind as to what I've been up to all these years.
In the meantime, I truly appreciate anyone who is following Sceneamation Movie Studios. Thank you! URA #1 !!!!
