Weekly interviews will be uploaded on iTunes, SoundCloud, YouTube, and our site. Weekly episodes will feature interviews with hip hop and rap artists, music industry executives, fashion figures, and anyone else elevating “The Culture.” The latest content can be found on iTunes, SoundCloud, YouTube, and our site. The show’s creator and host is Kunal, known fondly as both the Hip Hop Handicap and El
vis Freshley (for his impeccable style). The 28-year-old is Houston born and raised, and has battled kidney disease since he was 10 years old, when the doctors first discovered he had TTP (the disease that took the late great hip hop legend J Dilla away from us too soon). After losing his first transplant in 2006, a catastrophic MRI procedure left Kunal wheelchair bound and completely numb on extremely high powered painkillers. After the 2nd transplant, Kunal began to walk without assistance, even jogging a few steps, when a slip and fall at dinner resulted in badly broken hip. He has had two transplants to date, more than a dozen surgeries, and is currently on dialysis, awaiting a third transplant. Kunal has loved Hip Hop and Rap music his whole life, and created All For The Culture to live out his dream of interviewing the artists behind this incredible art form, and being involved in the culture of Hip Hop. He hopes the show will also bring awareness to kidney disease and Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis, and wants to integrate health causes and Hip Hop, because he believes hip hop saved his life. We do it “All for The Culture!”
