Some of you may already know that Scooter and I have joined the legendary American heavy rock band PENTAGRAM. We are in the middle of recording a new album with our good friend Henry Vasquez (Saint Vitus, Legions of Doom, Blood of the Sun) on drums and of course the one and only Bobby Liebling on vocals. Bobby came in a handled the vocals with swagger, attitude and confidence. It was impressive to say the least. Our goal is to retain the spirit of the seventies and eighties eras without losing what all of us can offer to the sound of this version of Pentagram. We’ll see you out there in the wild soon.

In Mos Generator news, we are 8 songs deep in demos for a new album. We are really excited about the direction we are headed and hope to have something new out next year.

It was 1970 when a spark of inspiration became Aerosmith. Thanks to you, our Blue Army, that spark caught flame and has been burning for over five decades. Some of you have been with us since the beginning and all of you are the reason we made rock ‘n’ roll history.

It has been the honor of our lives to have our music become part of yours. In every club, on every massive tour and at moments grand and private you have given us a place in the soundtrack of your lives.

We’ve always wanted to blow your mind when performing. As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury. We’ve seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Sadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision - as a band of brothers - to retire from the touring stage.

We are grateful beyond words for everyone who was pumped to get on the road with us one last time. Grateful to our expert crew, our incredible team and the thousands of talented people who’ve made our historic runs possible. A final thank you to you - the best fans on planet Earth. Play our music loud, now and always. Dream On. You’ve made our dreams come true.

I know it’s been awhile, so I’m stoked to announce the next episode of the Misery Point Radio show will feature Reno Ramos from UK metal powerhouse Tigguocobauc. Tune in this upcoming Tuesday, Aug 30 at 1:00 US Pacific time (9pm UK time) to hear an awesome lineup of UK metal plus an in depth interview with Reno about the recent release of Tigguo Cobauc’s latest album “A Fountain Of Anguish Is Gone.” This interview has been a long time in the works, the foundation of which was laid almost 3 years ago. While getting the house ready for guests, I fell into the Maiden zone. It’s been awhile since I listened to these. All epic.

Number of the Beast was my intro to maiden at 10 years old but Somewhere In Time has always been my favorite. That and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son ,though for some reason I can’t find that vinyl copy. Admittedly, I kind of fell off the Maiden wagon after Fear of the Dark. I was also never a huge fan of the Di’Anno era, but I’ve recently dug back into those and enjoy them a lot more now than I did previously. Like many artists whose careers span decades, their sound has evolved drastically over the years. Might have to give the post- Fear albums a shot again.

I know it’s been awhile, so I’m stoked to announce that next Wednesday April 24 at 5 pm PT there will be a new episode of the Misery Point Radio show featuring a true OG of the Kitsap Metal scene, local legend Paul Barer (aka Paul English), known for bands such as Woodrot, Paul is Dead, 4 Headed Baby, and more.

Paul stopped by MPR HQ to discuss the early days of the Kitsap scene, his bands, the vinyl release of some early Woodrot material in the form of Ethics: A Relic, and how a chance encounter with another influential local musician changed the course of the scene.

I’ll be playing some tracks from Woodrot plus some other PNW rock and metal acts. I’ll post the showtime

I found out yesterday that my good friend Justin Wallace died in a car accident a dew days ago. I’m absolutely gutted. So many emotions: sadness, anger, shock, emptiness. Truly struggling with words right now. Know by many as “Juice,” he was a multi talented artist. A musician, fellow podcaster, metalhead, and all around larger than life personality. He’s also a father and husband. Juice and I became friends a few years back in the podcast circuit, and have been close ever since. This was a dude who supported the arts, and was massively supportive of me and my shows as well as countless other artists, musicians, performers, and entertainers. A massive hole has been left in the universe. So to my brother, the Handsomest of all Pricks, The Moistest of all Disciples, and the Pinkest of all Machines, may you rest in power. All the love, Juice.
