If you want to help me show love to the Dads of the District, I will be at Sycamore and Oak next Saturday June 15th from 3-6pm giving away $10 gift cards to a variety of stores. I was at the opening of Sycamore and Oak last year giving away Father's Day Cards and this year I want to step it up.

I'm thinking about doing a 3-on-3 pick up hoops tournament.

Show up to the court, Pick your team on the spot and the first team to win five games walk away with $150.

Also I'm trying to do a PIG game for $100

And a 3pt Shoot Out. Take 50 shots. Winner is the one who hits the most shots obviously but how much money you win is based on how many shots you because you get $5 for every 3pter you make and can potentially leave with $250

How about we make that happen this next Saturday June 1st at King Greenleaf Outside Courts at 2pm.

I have been struggling and not really had a passion to do much lately. Everything seems like work.

Regardless of what I have done whether its education, basketball. politics, community service, podcasts, radio, TV, music, events etc over my damn near 20 years in these DC streets. The one consistent is my passion for just having fun, making memories, building relationships, telling my, hearing others, and letting people tell their stories, and educating and helping people.

What that will look like going forward I dont really know. But I know I dont want it to feel like work and I know that every time I do something I want to leave with a smile on my face and put smiles on other peoples faces.

DCHoopStars HoopsDay is this afternoon from 1-3pm at Anacostia Park. I have basketball cards and gifts for the kids from 1-2pm and $200 to give out starting at 2pm for the 3pt Shoot Out. 60 seconds to make as many 3s as you can and get $5 for each one you make.
