The 7 New Wonders of the World: (Petra, Jordan/ Great Wall, Beijing, China/ Christ the Redeemer, Brazil/ Colosseum, Rome, Italy/ Machu Picchu, Peru/ Chichen Itza, Mexico/ Taj Mahal, Agra, India). The first time I traveled to Brazil in 2000 (24 years ago), I didn't buy a ticket to go up to the Christ statue because I could see it from afar in different parts of Rio. I was able to visit the monument now in 2024, so it turns out I completed the 'Seven Wonders of the World' without even trying to. I don't care about lists, but I'm grateful for all these opportunities. I have so much more to explore.

'Didi, may I take a pic with you?' Haha, we loved posing for pics with Indians. We stood out like a sore a thumb everywhere we went. We got a glimpse of what it feels to be a celebrity for a few seconds. Locals were so friendly, and were so curious about where we came from.
