Tragedy of #Duber lower #Kohistan
Five brothers, five young brothers, can you imagine ! Aye can you?
Five young handsome brothers stuck amid the floods in the Duber gorge in lower Kohistan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which flooded unexpectedly! They were standing on a rock wailing and helpless for five hours, the time in which a bus can go to Lahore from Islamabad. The locals were trying to bring ropes and beams but the stream, nay a big river, flooded so heavily that no body can reach to them, neither could the stranded reach to the rope. They were crying for help. The locals around were helpless and prayed some miracles! The locals could save only one of them. All other four youths fell to the floods. The locals, however, spread the news on social media but mainstream Pakistan and the province were busy in covering Mr Imran Khan who had to appear before a judge! Mahmood Khan, the chief minister, was busy in his page to defend his boss.
In five hours a helicopter from Peshawar would have come and gone to the area three times but why, why for a people who are lesser sons of God and nobodies at all!. They are nobodies and useless citizens for they live in the hills!
Can you feel the pain of the five hours spent on the rock waiting for the gushes to engulf? Can you empathize with the families, with the villagers, the helpless lot!
I would say the state is responsible for their death of which they were citizens! But why make a fuss? For the state the were only five votes lost and five mounts shut!
