When I was breaking my trauma bond and emotional connection from my narcissistic ex I made a decision. I decided I wasn’t happy with where my life was. I didn’t feel fulfilled. I had allowed myself to get lost. So, I decided to apply for graduate school.
A year later I walked into my first class a totally different person. I had been on my healing journey for a while. I had been working on my self-worth. I was able to walk in with a confidence I had never experienced before. I was SURE I was supposed to be there.
Thursday I completed my final internship for my doctoral program. In just 3 short weeks I get to walk across the stage and FINALLY earn the title Dr. De La Torre, OTD. The past 3 years have been anything but easy. But it was well worth it.
Now I am dedicated to helping others reach their full potential after abusive relationships. I’m creating a 4 stage model that’s backed by research and my lived experience. I can’t wait to show you all what I’m working on! It is going to be life changing for so many people.
For those of you that have been with me on this journey thank you. Your belief in me has been felt and appreciated. I can’t wait for this next phase.
