The parade will begin at 10.15am at the Hong Kong Sports Institute and end at Tamar Park at 11.45am, and will include the athletes, coaches, and other members of the delegation.

Two open-top buses carrying members of the delegation will make their way to Tai Wai Station and the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, before heading though the Cross Harbour Tunnel to get to Queen’s Road Central and finishing the journey at Tamar Park. During this time, fans can cheer for the athletes at viewing spots like Tai Wai Station, the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, and the Central Star Ferry Pier."

✨ Mid-Autumn Festival Drone Show Confirmed for September 17 🎇

🎙️ “Hong Kong will stage a drone show on September 17, 2024 for Mid-Autumn Festival, according to an announcement from the Tourism Board. Authorities also revealed that the Hong Kong WinterFest will return this year, along with its accompanying pyrotechnics and drone displays, as will the annual New Year’s Eve fireworks show.

The time and venue for the forthcoming drone show have not yet been revealed, but previous displays organised by the government — such as the ones for the Cheung Chau Bun Festival in May and Dragon Boat Festival in June — were staged over Victoria Harbour in front of the Wan Chai Temporary Promenade, and began at 8pm. These 10-minute-long shows featured 1,000 drones that formed motifs associated with these celebrations.”

🎙️ “Ocean Park Hong Kong had its first panda twin births on August 15, when the park’s female giant panda Ying Ying gave birth to a male and female cub. Ying Ying, who turns 19 on August 16, is the oldest giant panda on record to give birth for the first time. The father of the cubs, Le Le, turned 19 last week.

According to a statement from Ocean Park, Ying Ying started showing signs of pregnancy such as “decreased appetite, increased rest time, and changes in hormonal levels” at the end of July. The pregnancy was confirmed via ultrasound on August 11, and Ying Ying went into labour on August 14. She delivered a female cub weighing 122 grams at 2:05am and the 112-gram male at 3:27am on August 15.”

🎙️ “The majority of Hongkongers can’t do without their smartphones, with over 60% of the city’s residents admitting that they’re addicted to their devices. According to a survey by language learning app Preply, 63.4% of the territory’s residents acknowledge their smartphone addiction, with 76.5% considering reducing their smartphone usage.

The report also revealed that the majority of parents surveyed — a whopping 95.8% — admitted to giving their kids their smartphones to keep them entertained, mostly while busy with housework or cooking (23.5%) or during restaurant outings (22%). The survey also found that 72.5% of respondents spend 1-4 hours every day on personal activities while they’re at the office.”
