Mister Movie Buff's 10 out of 10 GRAND List

For the fewer readers out there who can actually make it through an entire post now, Darkest Hour is so well crafted on a whole movie level start to finish and so well acted and again I got teared up a couple times last night after seeing DH again finally and that to me is a movie doing its job being powerful as it is! The subway scene is so real and down to earth!

A well deserved Oscar win went to Gary Oldman and DH was up for best picture in early 2018.

Yes, no battle scenes and not a typical war movie BUT Gary Oldman's performance is right up there with the best performances of all time along with Marlon Brando, (Godfather), J. Phoenix as the Joker, George C. Scott as Patton, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga BOTH in A Star Is Born, Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man, Denzel Washington in Flight and Tom Hanks in SPR, Forrest Gump and Cast Away! (To name a few of the best of the best!)

A 9 out of 10 overall BUT a 10 out of 10 goes to Oldman clearly as Winston Churchill!

Almost everyone has their fave Christmas movie in mind. Some movies entertain in different ways to different people. For me I never liked dancing numbers or dragged out movies or too sappy but I always adore Home Alone. This will be my number one I am sure for life. I know some who have even boycotted watching this wonderful film for whatever dumb/weird reason! To not give a movie a chance is just silly and then to say other movies are better is just wrong as there is no real opinion to go by comparisons.

Home Alone for life with me! I also used to watch with Megan each and every yr from the time she was 5 I think to say 15/16! Then she gave up on our tradition! This saddened me but I still have tried to watch each yr, even without her by my side.

Gave it much thought and finally I have my permanent top 5 best and funniest comedy movies of all time list in place!

Special mentions to Happy Gilmore, Croc Dundee and 40 Year Old Virgin too!

THE CREED BOXING MOVIES SERIES IS NOW THE ONLY MOVIE SERIES EVER WHERE EACH MOVIE WAS AT LEAST A 9 TO 9.25 IN RATING! CREED 3 WAS AMAZING!

Newest entry...

Just so wonderful. I am so glad I finally watched Shyamalan's cream of his crop film again. When I first watched, I originally loved it to the tune of a 9 out of 10.

I have now convinced myself that this gem deserves to be in my very small list of 10 out of 10 films!

Wonderfully interesting and inspiring across the board and super well directed.

They just do not make movies of this incredible caliber anymore.

The young daughter Bo is so darn cute too and she went on to be just as cute in Little Miss Sunshine.
