Have you even heard of Washoe Meadows State Park in Tahoe? I hadn’t, but I was heading up there when the opportunity came to write for Sierra Rec Magazine’s State Park special edition.
The park was very different than any other state park I’ve been to, and a nice escape from the crowds to enjoy a quiet walk in nature.

Keeping your content stored in some sort of digital library 📚 is game changing! Whether it’s a spreadsheet with links, Google drive folders, or an app like Evernote - take the time to do a content audit and get organized!

👉I can’t tell you the amount of people I work with who think they have NO IDEA what to post - all the while they’re sitting on a plethora of content that’s already been created!

💯Save your unfinished ideas and scribbles too! You never know when the spark to revamp, or finish what you started will come. I’ve used partial ideas to start lead magnets later down the road.

👉Repurposing saves time, reduces stress, and is the ultimate weapon against writers block and burn out!

👉We are our own harshest critic. Create the content and put it out there. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

🤦♀️What ABSOLUTELY won’t work: Hesitating. It breeds a vicious trap that often leads to not putting yourself out there at all.

😳🤯 130 DEATH VALLEY! Noooooooo. Lord have mercy 🥵

👉When Jonny and I adventured to Death Valley it was during winter. At the time, it felt like a normal summer day out - 80-85 degrees in the morning.
.
🙅♀️I don’t want to know what this 130 degree business feels like...how about you?

👉When we were at Death Valley National Park, we learned that the extreme heat is from a few different factors.
.
1️⃣ The elevation. Parts of the park are below sea level - which brings me to my next point...
.
2️⃣The area is surrounded by mountains that block the moisture from getting in.
.
3️⃣The narrow valley itself traps the dry air from getting in or out.
.
👉The conditions are extreme & you should listen to the warnings posted everywhere. With that said, this park is incredible to experience.
.
❤️Death Valley NP is one of my favorite road trip destinations we’ve been to. I’m looking forward to the trip back. 🤩

❤️Look, I get it. You've been wanting to break away from the 9-5 life and start something that utilizes your skills and creativity. You're stuck at a crossroads and you're not even sure what skills you actually have. (Been There!)

👉In the beginning, you will have to sit down and identify what skills you currently have.

🤯What is it that you are already good at, and could do all day? Oftentimes we disregard these things as work options - because we enjoy them!

👉Next, identify where your education could use a boost, and see if there are any free, or inexpensive courses to get you started.

❤️You can take advanced courses, but in the beginning, there's not likely to be a bunch of extra funds to toss around. Starting small is still starting.

🤩Next, make an escape plan. What do you need to do in order to leave your current situation?
👉Do you need to save?
👉Do you need to budget better?
👉Do you need to put something else in place that is less of a time-sucker so you can focus on what you truly want to do?

😍What seems impossible now, really isn't with the right mindset - and the patience to put your plan into ACTION. You CAN make changes in your life that lead to more fulfilling opportunities.

👉It starts with the mindset that it is possible. Follow it up with action.
