When most of us were celebrating the return of Bhagwan Shree Ram from a tent to his mesmerising palace. I saw so many people celebrating this joyous moment. Even kids were chanting “Jai Shree Ram” from their school buses. Blessed are those kids whose parents and school instil such sentiments and values in the children.

Where most of us in India and across the world celebrated this day with great enthusiasm and happiness, there was a section who were glorifying how it was okay for Mughals to invade our country and destroy our temples. They were feeling pity about the same.

If you got overwhelmed with the celebration and emotions, it’s alright; but insulting the sentiments of the generation who waited for 500 years to see their Prabhu back to his birthplace is absolutely demeaning.

We are extremely happy and proud of how we could upgrade the exterior of our home with the experience and knowledge we have.

There was no budget friendly makeover here becuase you can never do that with the exterior of the house. It’s a big NO especially if you are looking for the long term benefit.

Over the period of time, I have been conscious about the interiors of my home. Everything that I pick or gifted as a part of a collaboration are always selected by the theme of our home. Ground floor of our home has warmer traditional hues as compared to the first floor space that has more contemporary and modern tones to it.

As raw as we can get. They follow me wherever I go and likewise. It is all about us together. Motherhood is the most honest emotion you could share with your kids. I love them, I spoil them, and I discipline them.

Switched the furnitures’ in the study room and basically decluttered the study desk to accommodate the books for the next grade. Another 2 weeks of summer vacation and then back to the routine.

We had 6 seater dining table but had to downgrade as we wanted more space for my father-in-law’s movement (wheelchair bounded) around the house. I made some amazing content around it. Our dining room became most loved space of our home on IG as well.

Cut back to this time, we wanted to really invest in a furniture that can be handled for a very very long time because we wanted to add something that would stay with us in our lifetime at least. Slowly but steadily, we are making every piece and corner count.

After wrapping my chores for the day, I remember how relentlessly I looked for a round chandelier or pendant light when the table was WIP. As per interior designing rule, round tables should have round or non linear ceiling lights. To be honest with you, I could have selected one among those zillions I saw. The thing is I was not ready to let go off this gorgeous rectangle light I already have.

Hence decided to chuck the rules and follow my heart wants.
